I had never thought much about my username - it was just the first thing that came to mind when I decided to register to answer a question in a post years ago. It didn’t seem to matter much but as I have slowly gone from being a total lurker to a lurker who occassionally adds to the conversation, I began to wonder what my username said about me.
Then I saw this thread - http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=642982 - and realized not only can I not “explain” my username, I am concerned it gives the wrong impression of the sort of person I am as the Big Bad Wolf in most fairy tales tends not to be seen in a good light. So after some thought I decided to make a small change and become BigDadWolf - after all I am somewhat big, I am a dad, and hey, wolves are cool.
So the mundane pointless thing I must share is I changed my username by a single letter to better fit who I am in real life. Anyone else out there change their username to better fit who they are?
