I just drew this cartoon with Paint. It can be viewed at my art page along with some other drawings of mine.

I say thee NAY!
All the Hoary Hosts Of Hoggoth & the Shining Legions of Asgard & All-Father Odin cannot help me gain access to an Art page that doth requireth a password!
Any who calleth me a liar is a base varlet!
There - it no longer requires a password. What sayest thou?
I say thee nay.
Thy third image is false and base, and my noble computer shall not loadeth it.
I suspect thee of being a spy from Járnvid!
HAVE AT THEE!
There. The image is now viewable. What sayest thou now then?
You did that in Paint? With a mouse? Very nice indeed. I like your other stuff too, particularly the second one down.
Yeah I did in in Paint and using only the straight-line tool.
I’m assuming there’s a video game, the knowledge of which would allow me to “get” the joke?
The art’s wonderful for a mouse-driven Paint file. And that IS a compliment, even if it sounds snarky…not meant to be.
Thanks, I’ve been using that technique of just the straight-line tool and the paint bucket for years and years. But as you can see from the other drawings, I usually just use pen or pencil.
There’s no specific video game, they’re just supposed to be generic video game “bad guys” like the ones in F.E.A.R. or some such shooter - the comic is poking fun at the fact that there are always a million “health packs” laying all over the place in every shooter, and I was just bemused by the fact that some goon must have had to go around leaving medkits all over the floor.
Baffling.
I thought it was pretty funny.
I do find the veiny forearms of the characters in your other drawings terrifying, though.
This is pretty much everyone’s reaction to them. What can I say - once I start adding veins, it’s hard for me to stop.
I liketh muchly the schnozz on thy last likeness.
Those are veins? I thought they were tendrils, or something.
The last pic was my favorite, maybe because the long sleeves remove any opportunity to put climbing vines on the arms.
I feel kinda bad about bagging on your pics, Argent Towers, so let me just say that any single drawing on that page far outstrips anything I could manage, even with tracing paper. So the veins aren’t my cup of tea - who cares?
Anybody prepared to say whether they’re anatomically correct, or even plausible, though?
ETA: I only kinda sorta got the joke in the cartoon, btw.
