I just looked at the weather. We should have fairly nice conditions in Ocala, then come home to winter. At least there’s no freezing precip promised before we get back.
How much longer till spring??

Hush your fussin’. Cold weather kills off the stinkbugs.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated, and purtified for irk, so no YAWN. ‘Tis 47 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 78 for the day. This weekend we will have freezin’ temps. Go figure.
doggio I’m more into this kind of A String Of Pearls.
As soon as OYKW finishes purtifyin’, we shall venture over to Pearly’s for brekkie. YUM! Plus, he’s buyin’.
Ok, that’s all I got. I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom which tells me departure is imminent.
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, off to work. Laundry afterwards. It’s rather foggy today.
I’m going to ask your opinion about something because I know y’all have them and you’re happy to share them.
As some of you know, the sprog is now a Boy Scout, and there are certain expenses associated with this activity. Camp in the summer, the big whitewater rafting trip, camping, uniforms, projects, et cetera all cost money. So here’s my idea, and I’d like your input.
I’m thinking about starting a gofundme for the sprog’s family and whoever else to help out with these expenses. Everyone loves that he’s now a Scout, he loves that he’s now a Scout, and I think crowd funding is a good way to share those expenses so he can participate and we don’t have to stress.
What say you?
Mucinex. Mucinex-D if you can. Pharmaceutical roto-rooter!
I miss those Vicks sinus tablet things that you put in a nice hot shower. They had eucalyptus and menthol and stuff and really opened up your sinuses.
I don’t know anything about gofundme, but my first thought is: how can he earn money himself? We’d love to pay a neighborhood kid to do some stuff for us, but we don’t know any and rarely see any. Surely you have neighbors who’d pay for a leaf-raker or a snow-shoveler or whatever else??
The site of my shingles shot is very warm and very pink. The site of my flu shot is fine. Stoopit shots.
Rockin’, having had stepkids in both boy and girl scouts, with the attendant expenses, I can sympathize with your budgetary issues. The way tha we handled it was to set an activity budget for each kid. If there was room in it for several activities, fine. If not, the kids had a choice to make. Frankly, I wouldn’t donate to a middle class child’s boy scout expenses and you’d likely get some blowback about the BSA as well. Just my $, 02.
Today is the day to go home. Hardware is out and I can drive!
Been a hellacious month or two but things are looking better. Talk amongst yourselves and I hope to be more of a regular starting next week. Or at least a slightly irregular. It depends on the prunes.
Hugs to all!
Back from erranding. We were down to our last 2 12-packs of TP, but we’ve now got double that, so we’re good. Plus I got butter, because you can’t bake proper cookies without butter.
It’s a dreary day, and the evil cold is gonna whomp us starting tonight, but we’ll be leaving in the morning, so our freeze will be delayed a week.
Howdy Y’all! Comin’ up for air cause it’s N.O.L.time. Been a bzzy mornin’ at irk.
Had a really gooooooood brekkie this mornin’ so not uber hongry but I shall consume my sallit anyways.
Rockin’ I’m sorta with the get the sprog involved with earnin’ some money himself crowd. However, gofundme as a source for family who is proud that he is a Scout to help out is not a bad idea. If some friends decide to donate as well then good. I’ll also say he should thank those who contribute and maybe even keep them informed of how he’s progressin’ as a Scout should be a part of this.
MOOOOOOM I’m glad you have re-stocked tpwise. Plus, as you stood in line to buy butter and tp, you may have caused some folks to wonder just what it is you are doin’.
**swampy **- besides the tp and butter, I had a gallon of bleach and a bottle of unscented fabric softener. Make of it what you will.

I’ve got a pile of baked sweet N.O.T.s ready to be peeled and mashed. There are also 6 dozen ginger snaps cooling on wire racks - sans cloves this time. I’m having a turkey and provolone sammich before I finish assembling the casserole. The kitchen is a major mess, so that’ll be tidied next.
Whew! Retirement is hard!!
I’m glad this meeting is not a video conference. Discussions of same-sex financial and retirement planning, while important, are putting me to sleep.
The video meeting was earlier, and getting up at 4:00 AM is also contributing to the heavy eyelids.
All foods are ready for the trip, except for being put in the cooler, which will happen in the morning. The dishwasher is washing, the counters have been wiped down, the cookie sheets are drying in the dish rack. So yay!
And the gingersnaps are much better without cloves. I’d have liked a bit more cinnamon - next time…
The weather is loverly so I have a few windows open - probably for the last time till spring. Just waiting for the pet sitter to come by for the keys and the check. Then I guess it’s time to pack.

It’s looking like Pizza Hotline will be delivering supper tonight. Or we’ll go to Salsa’s. One or the other. I ain’t cooking.
I’s home!
But now I need a nap.
Howdy Y’all! Another irkday survived. Go Me!
MOOOOOOM tell me about it! Right now it’s 80 Amurrkin out. Tomorrow will be low 60s for the high, and Firday high 50s. We shall also have the first below freezin’ temps over the weekend. Here I sit in shorts and a tshirt. Go figure.
I shall heat up the leftover death chikin, bake some rolls, and nukeulate some succotash for dindin. Tonight is all about slacker cookin’!
Makin’ chutney. Plum (last if the homegrown, frozen) and cranberry.
Hopefully suitable for cheap but nice Christmas pressies. It’s a but reluctant to boil down enough, but it smells nice.
Dindin has been ingested. 'Twas an early and quick dindin cause OYKW needed to eat and run. He has paperirk to deal with at his place, poor thing.
I took some beef/veggie soup outta da freezer. I’m thinkin’ that (heated up, of course) and some cornbread will be a good dindin tomorrow bein’ as it’s supposed to be a somewhat coolish day.
Nuts I’d be happy to get some homemade chutney. YUM!
Lot of food in this post ain’t it!
