But this thread isn’t in the Pit because I did get in to my first choice school, Harvey Mudd!

I am incredibly excited! Despite all my shortcomings, my time away from high school, my less than perfect grades/test scores, my stupid essays, my monetary situation, and my lack of extra curriculars I still managed to get in. (Gee, I hope no one from admissions sees this list of reasons they should rescind their decision.)

I know there are one or two Dopers that actually go to Harvey Mudd currently. Hopefully, if my parents and I can figure out what to do money-wise, there will be one more Mudder on the boards.

All the stupid anxious waiting is finally over. I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off my chest.

No, it is actually Stanford that sucks.

But congrats on Harvey Mudd! It was one of the schools I considered, but I wanted to be closer to home. I’ve heard it’s an excellent school for many reasons.

You got into Mudd and Berkeley didn’t take you? Shows what Berkeley knows. Congratulations!

And in four years, if you’re looking around at grad schools, remember to take great pleasure in rejecting Berkeley after they beg you to come… :wink:

Too bad for you- but congrats for getting into where you wanted! I got waitlisted from my first choice college, Eckerd… :frowning: But I just got into University of Tampa! Now I have to decide whether I want to do college so far away… touch decision!
