Ummm, almost all of our snow is gone, I have a small patch in the shade of my backyard and the ice is starting to melt off the lake…Also, high of 25 C by Monday. Yay? I don’t want to say it too loud in case I jinx it…
I may just be able to ride to work yet!!!
I wish it would stop snowing and sleeting long enough for us to get out and clean up the damage from all the snowing and the sleeting.
As I predicted, the dry summer is already upon us (we don’t get summer rain). Two fires are raging with hot, dry, Santa Ana winds driving them.
AN UPDATE : Is this the beginning of the Great Saskatchewn Glacier?
The Regina snow dump is still there, even though the Enviro Canada guy was predicting it would be gone by now: We still have snow (lots of it) in July!
Environment Canada’s senior climatologist predicted in late May that warmer than-normal temperatures in June and July would melt the mountain of snow dumped at the storage site in the southwest quadrant of McDonald and Fleet streets.
Well, it’s nearly August and massive black mounds of unmelted ice remain at Regina’s snow dump.
So if it doesn’t melt by the end of September, and the snow starts in October …
