I don't get this license plate

When I was a kid I remember seeing a game show called Bumper Stumpers where there were three contestants and they’d show a license plate and the people had to figure it out. I think it did not last long on the air but I liked it!

I used to live near someone with a Mini with the license plate ITTYBITY. Always liked that one.

Awesome!

You would love the one I have for Bessie (Google image search “Road Kow”) ------ AM1SH. I managed to get that when I found out AMISH was already taken. :smack:

IML8 IML8 on a VW…a white Rabbit.

I was going to post that one. Except the one I heard about was just ML8 ML8. Perhaps some state allows 8 letter vanity plates, but most restrict them to 6 or 7 letters. Anyway, I heard about that one way back in the 70s or 80s, so it’s, well, call it a classic.

I heard of a guy who had a Firebird with the license plage ALS IROC. When people came up and said “That’s not an IROC” he’d respond with “I’m not Al.”

Hmm, I would have thought it was from a conservative who only watched Fox News and was playing on For Fuck’s Sake

I’ve seen “SXKTTN” and a buddy of mine who is an OB-GYN had “BOXDOC”.

When I was in graduate business school, in the late '80s, I had a classmate who was pretty much an unapologetic douchebag. He was absolutely full of himself, and fully believed he was God’s gift to women.

Personalized plates were still a fairly novel thing, and whatever screening system the Wisconsin DMV had for plate requests somehow let this guy’s request through:

PEN1S

When I saw the plates (which he was, in fact, quite proud of), all I could say was “wow.”

Don’t get either of them.

So, are you going to leave us in suspense, or are you going to explain it?..

It’s a feature, not a bug - standard software response to any defect report

Panocha is used similarly to how Americans use “pussy” - as a vulgar term for female genitalia or calling a man a “wuss.”

Probably graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, the Colorado Institute of Art, or the Cleveland Institute of Art.

I have a feeling that it got by them the same way it got by me. We totally just didn’t get it. LOL

I still don’t see it, to be honest. If they did get it, they may consider it so obscure as to be considered harmless.

Could be a spy too, I suppose.

Once I was behind a car with Maryland plates

TIH2 0

and I couldn’t figure it out until I passed him and saw the plate in the mirror.

Sorry, I thought post 16 explained it.

Post #16 explained nothing if you don’t speak Spanish and knew that you’d have to translate it from English.

I don’t know how people couldn’t understanding the one in the OP, since you just have to literally read what it says.

My first thought was it should have been on a red Pinto.

I read it as “immolate”
