I second too, but I think the mods are also great when dealing with intelligent and rational posters. I’ve been here for a dozen years now and by and large the moderation staff has always been of really high standard in judgement, communication and wit. I have also been a moderator but I would not qualify for the job here. Hats off to you, guys.

I would add to this list that the moderation here is consistent … the same offense in the same circumstances is moderated the same way … and when a written rule is tweaked the changes are widely announced and some latitude is granted while everybody changes their posting habits …

It’s also very nice that moderator actions can be politely contested … those discussions here in ATMB are exceptionally enlightening …

It’s a shame Lil’ Ed is the last decent copyeditor in the whole world, he’d make a great district court judge …
