As an aside, some people have been spreading the story that if you Pit me the mods will close it because it will involve the mods. How hard can it possibly be to start a Pit thread accusing me of , say, junior modding and not talk about whether or not the mods are doing anything about it?
I would enjoy the opportunity to pin down some of you on your definition of the term, then get you give examples where I do it and others don’t.

You gotta admit that Catch 22 is a pretty meta book. If Yosarian does one thing, he gets locked into the Army. If he does the opposite of the thing that would get him locked, he also gets locked. The policies of his superiors make it impossible not to get locked. There’s not a damn thing Yosarian can do or say, because the brass have set up a system of circular reasoning.

This is clearly just a play on Dex’s assertion that one can insult moderators all one wants in the pit, so long as you don’t question moderation related decisions. It has nothing to do with anything or anyone else. It’s a clever, funny joke, and the gentle, hyperbolic, meaningless style of the above insults (“he has an opinion about Glee”) should make that self-evident.

I don’t know. Since I seem to be in the middle of this mess the words “clever” and “funny” don’t seem to come to mind. “Tiresome”, “juvenile” and “vindictive” do, however.
