Not to detract from Ruffian’s perky story, the amount of water depends upon the plant - but the general rule of thumb is when the soil is dry about 1" down, you moisten it thoroughly. I think. I just dump a bunch of water in the pots when they get wilty-looking. It works - not too many die too often.
Once a week seems to work for me.
And I have two pothos that have trailing branches several feet long - one longer than seven feet!!
But the cactus in the bathroom looks kinda scrawny.
