I feel cheated! No Vader story from Disney+

Saw these promotions for the new Vader origin movie:

Dude! Admiral Thrawn counseling Vader? Bleeding a khyber crystal? Darth Vader saying , “F Anakin.” This is the best thing from the franchise since Rogue One

Unfortunately these are fan-made. Disney is not doing this. When I found that out after watching these … not gonna say I cried; not gonna say I didn’t cry.

I thought the “Vader story” was Star Wars Episode 1-6?

This is how he learned to be a Sith Lord under Palpatine.

So then something filling the gap between 3 and 4, I like it.

The obvious problem is that James Earl Jones is dead, and Vader just wouldn’t be the same without him.

Prior to his death, Jones signed an agreement with Disney/Lucasfilm to allow them to use AI tools to create new Vader dialogue, based on archival recordings of Jones’ work voicing the character.

As noted in the article below, AI was, in fact, used to create new lines for Vader for the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series.

No thanks. Han Solo saying “go to Hell” and Poe talking about a “big-ass door” was jarring enough. Hearing cursing in Star Wars just feels wrong to me. It’s like hearing Adam West’ Batman shout “Freeze, motherfucker!” at Cesar Romero.

I’m not cool with the F word. But as far back as the original trilogy, Han said things like “What the hell are you doing?”; “You damn fool, I knew you’d say that.”; and “Then I’ll see you in hell.” That kind of cussing is nothing new.

Meh. I feel like anything trying to emulate the Golden Age of Space Opera should have made-up swear words. Like Battlestar Galactica and “frak”, or the guys in Asimov stories who yell “Space it!” or “Good galaxy!” whenever they’re nonplussed.

Yeah, his dialog was meant to match his Space Rogue template.

I was 10 years old when Star Wars came out, and it was the first movie I ever saw where people swore. All the cuss words stick in my memory for that reason.

He didn’t actually say the F word. It was more of his sentiment.
Sorry for the confusion.
