After a month of putting it off I am glad to say that I’ve finally done it. I quit smoking. My last cigarette was yesteray morning and so far things are going pretty well. I do however, know that I’m in for some rough times in the coming week.
On the bright side, I’ll have the energy/wherewithall to get myself back in shape plus I’ll be attractive to the fairer sex again
I think smoking is like alcoholism, one is always recovering.
My weak moment is drinking, late at night, in a bar with buddies that are smoking. My hand just goes on autopilot and I’ve chain smoked 5-10 cigs before thinking about what I’ve done. My advise is try to avoid altogether those weak moment situations if you can for the first couple of weeks…
Unfortunately my entire work day is one of those “weak moments.”
I have actually quit for an extended period of time before so I pretty wel understand what I’m in for. My best friend will likely be Madame Nicorette for the next 2 weeks.
Glad to hear it, hon. I knew something looked different about you today, I just couldn’t place my finger on it. (I was gonna say the suit, but that just seemed to obvious. ;))
I wish you the best of luck and I’ll do whatever I can to help keep you smoke-free.
