In his defense, he did palliate his endorsement of domestic terrorism and mass murder with the phrase “not entirely unreasonable,” so let’s not paint the guy as some kind of monster.

I’ve been reporting HD’s posts that cross the line, it’s easier to get mod attention now that he’s been previously suspended for sealioning. But given nothing is happening on the impeachment front today, why not give him a little bit of rope right now?

I can see from what other people quote in the inquiry thread that Ditka is throwing around a certain name. Is that the whistleblower’s alleged name?

Look, none of you have some gotcha that’s going to win the argument. He will continue to ignore any valid points, and sidetrack it every time with nitpicks or tangents. Post about the hearings, and just quit with the efforts to get HD to admit he’s wrong.
I have a feeling we’re about to hear from the mods with a big announcement about HD. I’ll give them time to discuss it and do their duties. We’ll see.

In my defense Ditka lines up his arguments like ducks in a shooting gallery, and sometimes is fun to plink away at them, knocking one down after another, even if no matter how many you put down the ducks just keep coming.
Oh yeah, I engage with him when I’m feeling like it.
Every post he makes has a minuscule chance of him flaming out. He isn’t going to just go away – eventually the mods will make him change his behavior, one way or another; but it isn’t going to happen if he posts his BS in a vacuum.
I miss Bricker but that was definitely not his finest moment.
I hear ya. The counter arguments are so obvious, it’s exceedingly hard to resist, or to even realize what you’re doing until you’ve hit “submit reply”. But stay strong, my friend!
I think we need to do a better job as debaters if we want it to be clear enough for the mods.
For example, I think the simple question “why are the whistleblower’s political views pertinent” is fine. If that was simply repeated when he gave a BS answer or attempted to deflect, his sealioning would be obvious. But I cringe every time someone says “it would be like if…” with yet another analogy to drug dealers or trials or anonymous tips. Your analogies might be great and a useful tool in a good-faith debate. But all you’re doing here with an analogy is giving him ammunition for a tangent. “Well, that’s different because…” or “yes, let’s talk more about this other circumstance.”
As long as people continue to ask him questions that give the opportunity for tangents, it can look like he’s responding. You really have to pay attention to realize he’s being very selective in what questions he answers. Make it easier for the mods - ask simple questions that he won’t answer, and skip the “gotchas”.
