I get to love you

I love The Lord, my husband, daughter, grandkids, my three big goofy dogs, the rest of my family and friends, good chocolate, and salty potato chips!

Happy Valentine’s Day :cupid: :cupid: :cupid:

I still can’t believe how amazing my husband is. I married him 18ish years ago because he was profoundly good to other people, brilliant, responsible, and he has such a grounding presence which is really important if you have a turbulent inner life like I do. Our relationship has definitely changed a lot since we had a child four years ago. It has taken a bit of effort to keep the romance going. Because of the challenges we’ve had, he’s become more cynical than when we first met. Call it older and wiser. However, my respect for him and the role he plays in our family has only grown.

I knew he was going to be a great Dad, but I really couldn’t have imagined how great. Our son adores him (we won’t get into how jealous I am) and in addition to child care, he does a lot of the “mental load” stuff women typically complain about having to shoulder on their own. He plans doctor’s appointments, birthday parties, school events. When we’re on vacation, he is usually the default parent. He takes the kid to play places so I can have some alone time on the weekend.

With our kid, we hit the jackpot. He’s brilliant, creative, sweet and affectionate - and a good sleeper! He’s the best thing that ever happened to me. He is in all ways a product of love, and I hope he feels it every day of his life.

Love is all around :notes:

I love to hear you say that about y’all.
You talk about the incomparable Sunflower like any woman would love to be spoken of.
You’re a man among men. Be proud of and humbled by that.

It makes my heart full and gives me hope.

Why my red heart  had to go in my title?

I’m sad. @What_Exit :pensive:.

I thought one was ok?

Crap, thought this was a message, not a post, sorry.

No problem. I still loves you!

Ahem.

Da wife and I enjoyed a Valentine’s Day lunch today at one of our favorite spots.

Happy Valentine’s Day, all!

Not good.

Sorta hate to bring the thread down, but such is life, sometimes.

Sorry to hear that. But we love you.

Love is where you find it.

Go forth and conquer.

Wadda you talkin’ about?? You got a Freakin Robot Arm!

If I had one, I’d never leave the house!

Til it broke down. Or broke your …erm…mirror.
