The monthly meeting of the Galaxy Hobby Sci-Fi Club was a few days ago. The members had requested more informative presentations, so, as president, I booked a guest speaker: Myself. So for a bit less than half an hour I talked about the esoteric art of scratchbuilding, accompanied by a Powerpoint slide show.
My friend Space Battleship Inafuku, our unofficial Club Audio/Video guy, has been taking pictures of the show-and-tell table and posting them to Flickr. Just lately he has started video-recording the meetings; he edits them and posts them on YouTube. SBI makes a rather nice video; in the one he made of my presentation, he has insets of the Powerpoint slides, with me nattering away in the corner of the screen. Good way to present the material!
Anyway, if you’d like to see what** Rocketeer** looks like in action, and hear his oddly hoarse and nasal voice, and maybe learn a little bit about making models, and if you have immense patience, here’s a link to my lecture. Enjoy!
