I got an invite to a white power board...

The leader of the infiltrated group gets hit by a bus?

Now I’m wondering if there’s a website for racist Avatar fans.

If you do infiltrate it, be sure to keep the white sheet on at all times.

I got one. At least I think I did: I assumed the website was malware encrusted and deleted the PM.

Or claim you haven’t washed up from the weekly cross-burning.

Huh. I got a spam PM today, too, but I didn’t check the linked site out. It claimed it was just about Western Civilization. However, a check on Google found an entry on the Metawiki (itself a white power alternative to Wikipedia, something I forgot before going there) that said it proclaims itself to be about “ethnocultural preservation” and that it is a spinoff of a “pro-Nordic” board. So, yeah, it clearly is a White Power site. But, oddly enough, one that is apparently disliked by other White Power sites as being “too liberal.”

I forwarded the PM and then reported it (not being sure which was better). I checked a few minutes later, and the poster was banned.

BTW, anyone know what the word Meta has to do with white power? I keep forgetting and thinking metapedia means “Wiki about Wikis.”

I am the WASPiest of white guys, and I did get an invite. My thanks to RNATB; because of this thread, I was not remotely tempted to take a look.

Not sure, but “meta” literally means after/beyond/above and that sort of thing, so I’d assume they’re saying they’re either “beyond” other races or somesuch.

No invite here. Like Groucho Marx, I would never join any group that would have me for a member, so looks like White Power is still an option for me. Nyah, nyah.

Sort of. In rl I am more-or-less Slavic, which is not the kind of white person the White Power people are going for. At least not first. Ah, well, I guess I’ll just lug this cross of race another few paces toward the grave then, never mind me, no trouble at all…

I initially imagined something like this projector/interactive white board

I had no idea how even a spammer could “invite” you to one of those!

I hear that! Hot date with a witch. Sweet!

I got nothing. At first, I thought you said “white powDer.” And I thought, “I could get into that.” But, leery of getting cocaine on-line, I figured I’d need an attorney if I pursued it further. Then I realized that you are an attorney. And then there’d be a whole conflict of interest hiring you, since you’re brown, and I’d have white powder.

Then, I thought, “to hell with it. I need a beer instead.”

And then I blacked out for a bit.

Nothing for me. Clearly they’ve read my opinions of racists…

I got the invite too; in fact, the way I found this thread was by going there and following a link from a thread there to here!

Probably didn’t notice the missing “o” in your username.

Same here, but I’m not likely to click on a link I get in a spam e-mail.

10Q to the mods for their quick and appropriately drastic response.

Regards,
Shodan

No invite for me! Maybe they’ve read my opinions on them.

I guess I’m not white enough.:frowning:

I clicked it because I thought it might actually be a reasonable forum celebrating Western civilization–which is something I’ve done in comments on certain threads, so I erroneously believed it to be an individual invitation. But my admiration of Western civ, though termed “Islamophobic” by some, is on the grounds of its progressivity. That site is super right wing, so I quickly determined it was not of interest to me.

Now I’m curious about what they are saying. I did the same thing as BigT: googled the site name and wound up at Metapedia (which I’d never heard of before.)
