I for one will be bummed if the bigots, paranoids and xenophobes take over the Western Civ moniker. Dynamic cultures are open cultures. Those closed to foreign influences trend towards decline, as the Chinese discovered after their court banned contact with foreigners and recalled their trading ships.
Or to put it in loony terms, the Western Civ spammers want to impose Swiss romance, French administration, German constables, Italian punctuality and British cuisine on the rest of us. I won’t have it!!!
Any hint of how they came to be discussing this thread over there? How did this come to their attention? Are some of them actually some of us ?
Maybe someone could post the link to their site (or at least to that thread about this thread) if you rot13 it?

Checked out the thread one more time, after the claim about them being like us. Seems more Snacky to me than here.
Also noticed that they actually have a thread explaining their “purpose,” and I don’t know why I didn’t think to look there. I now get their view. They believe they aren’t a racist website, because they are just like any website for Black people or any other cultural group. Basically, the argument that, if there can be a BET, there can also be a WET.
