I got in trouble at recess

The playground-supervisor took my ball away.I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t post the lyrics to my Christian-rap song, “Jesus Muthafuckin’ Loves Me.”

***REPORTED ***
Actually I thought that story was pretty great.

Well, it IS funny…

Let’s hear the lyrics!

Isn’t it wrong or against forum rules to do what the OP just did? Lynn closed the other thread for a reason right? Or is this some kind of SDMB loop hole?

Well, it is a rant.

Actually,if you wrote the lyrics yourself, posted them in “Cafe Society”, and asked for feedback, I’d actually be surprised if any of the mods had a problem with it.

On the other hand, that thread which you opened deserved to be closed. And if I were a betting man, I’d start a pool on when you’re going to be banned.

Wait a minute, I am a betting man.

I’ll take 5/25/03 at 10 p.m.

Why are so many posters making so much trouble for the mods/admins this weekend? Don’t you all realize this is a holiday weekend? How about giving them a chance to take a break from cleaning up messes, and relax a bit.

See, that’s why. All the kiddies are out of school and bored.

Count me as another person who doesn’t quite see what’s so objectionable about the other thread. Sure, it didn’t belong in the pit, but is it any worse than the many other offhand religious jabs that pass without comment here?

You lose.

Name one.

It didn’t belong in the Pit. THAT’S why it got closed. This thread, being a complaint about the moderation of the board, does belong in the Pit.

Then why wasn’t the other thread moved to MPSIMS? I thought that was the general protocol here–to move misplaced threads instead of close them.

Moving threads places a much greater strain on the server than simply locking them. Locking threads teaches posters to put the damn threads in the right forum to begin with. Had the original thread been funnier or more interesting, I MIGHT have moved it, and then again, I might not have, depending on how busy the board was when I was trying to moderate it.
