I got KORG'd!

Yesterday was my birthday* !!!

My wonderful darling sweetie newbie husband of a spouse gave me a Korg combo tuner/metronome thingy so I can tune up and keep rhythm on my Appalachian dulcimer

We did the Angler’s Family Restaurant Trifecta (www.anglersseafoodrestaurant.com) to Newport, Hampden, and Searsport, Maine: steamed mussels appetizer, fried clams & OYSTERS (me), trout (him) main course, and a spectacularly overlarge maple blondie ice cream sundae (me), sugarfree grapenut custard (him). Oooooof!

The weather was sparkly sunny, with beautiful Maine vistas and turning leaves. Be happy for us!

*62 y.o. How did THAT happen :smack:

Well, now. What, you play something like this?

(The lighter color one is a Warren May, from Kentucky. The one with the ebony fingerboard is from Mary Matarienen in CT. )

Yup! The chromatic side of the Korg is overkill for my three strings, but any port in a storm. My dulcimer was made by Jeff Kamps in Hardy, AR.

I got it in 1992, still learning what to do with it. My teacher was the wonderful Larkin Bryant, of Memphis, TN.

Okay, I’m happy for you. Sounds like a great celebration. Happy Birthday.
