I hope all the good vibes from the Dope Community surround you and give you strength. You will beat this!

This link may be of some help to you.
Oh shit…Ivylass, I am so sorry. Just keep in mind, you have us all here, rooting for you.
hugs
Wishing you the best, dear.
Ivylass, drinks on me when I come to Florida on the 21st of May! {{{Ivylass}}}
Ivylass, just offering my support and best wishes. I hope that you get better news when it comes time to determine a treatment plan.
Stay positive and strong. Best of luck to you.

Godspeed, Ivylass. My mom was a breast cancer survivor since the late 1960’s. A double radical mastectomy, total hysterectomy, and many lymph node surgeries later, she was an amazing woman whom I grew to admire and respect.
You seem to be a strong woman who can tackle this. When you get overwhelmed, ask yourself the question Hub asks me…How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis - we’re here for you.
I’m sorry for the bad news but I’m confident you can and will beat it. Keep a good attitude.
Sorry to hear the news, ivylass, but we all know how tough you are. I’m very glad they caught it early.
Keep us updated.

We’re here for you. We mean it when we ask you (and Ivylad) to let us know if there’s anything you need.
Well, poop.
And I am extraordinarily glad they’re doing the MRI first. A colleague’s daughter had a lumpectomy.
The lab results came back “margins not clear”.
So she had another, bigger lumpectomy.
The lab results came back “margins not clear”.
At that point, she fired the doctor, went to another one, who was horrified that an MRI hadn’t already been done; ordered the MRI, and said “sorry, but mastectomy for you!”.
Which sucked, but if she’d had the MRI done first, she could have avoided the effing lumpectomies and delay. The cancer was just beginning to try to spread outside the breast. At this point they believe she’d clean but only time will tell. She lost 2+ months to those fools.
And yeah, calling the doc tomorrow.
I think you meant 5 times a week, once a day, for the radiation…not 5 a day! My mom’s was a quick in-and-out with the radiation…it’s not like you sit around for hours…walk in, lay down, zap, get up dress, leave…well, that a bit of a simplification, but they also seemed to have good hours for people who had to get to work or come at lunch time.
Well, dammit. I was so hoping it would be better news.
The good news is that it was caught early. Your doc sounds like a good guy. Best of luck with whatever treatment is prescribed. Keep us posted and I’ll keep you and your family in my thoughts.
Ivylass - I’m so sorry to hear it. {{{hugs}}} Know that it is so survivable now.
BTW - when my sister had her radiation last year she had 5 days in a row, twice a day. They inserted and removed little radiation pellets through small tubes inserted into her breast. 1 week, that’s it.

The “c” word is very scary, but your odds of beating it caught so early are very, very good.
Let us know how we can help. I’m not a great cook but I sure know how to send a restaurant gift card.
Keep your chin up.
Ivylass, sweetie - I don’t know you and you don’t know me… but I have to tell you that I read your posts with much pleasure. This news has my heart aching for you and your family.
You have my very best wishes. I know in my heart you’re gonna be fine.
You sure you reading that right? Isn’t it perhaps “five days a week for 6 to 7 weeks”?
I have a friend in the middle of it; it’s exhausting and nauseating, but you will get through it.
I’m so sorry!
