I Got My Elephant!!!

I sent my elephant out yesterday, it should arrive in MI sometime late this week, I hope.

Now, where’s my stuff!? Huh? Did you send it out yet? If not, you better watch out, or I’ll pop! (Soda, pop, get it, hahahaha.)

Well I would like to send out a special thanks to Zappo - for sending me all his junk err… special presents. How could you possibly know exactly what is was that I needed?

Now apparently Zappo felt my office was not sufficiently stocked because he proceeded to send me pens, highlighters, a staple remover (which I really appreciate by the way since I didn’t have one at home!), staples (now I WILL have to go out and buy a stapler), the jaguar paperweight, and a cool letter opener. Thanks ever so much… I don’t know how I’ve survived so long without these things.

Now there were other items, such as the reeces box that I just don’t know how I lived without. The oil bottle pour spout and the Seamus Mccaffery campaingn buttons are all must haves. And who doesn’t need more key chains? As for the Bally’s Wild Wild West Shot glass… well that will be put to good use I’m sure.

Again - thanks for everything Zappo - it was a fun present to open. And I shall treasure all these… um… treasures forever.

What you don’t know is that that rubber band ball has traveled from Waterville, Maine to Chattanooga, Murfreesboro and Nashville, Tennessee. It then moved with me down to Jackson, Mississippi and two years ago ended up moving with me to Atlanta, Georgia. My friend and I used to hide it in each other’s dorm room. We never knew just when it would turn up somewhere. It took a lot for me to give that up-but since I lost contact with her about 6 years ago, I got over.

There could have been much more. The whole box could have been filled with it. With the travel that I do, I have a big ol box full of this stuff. I’m not talking a shoe box either. Hotels from Providence to San Pedro Sula. I used The Breakers stuff because it’s the most recent…I didn’t want anyone to get rashes from out of date stuff.

Anyway, I’m glad it got there ok.

The Nissan and Acura are yours once I find who has them. We got rid of them several years ago and the spare keys never made it to the new owners. I’m sure if I look around the house I can find a key and alarm control for a 1994 Mustang GT.

My package was taken to the post office Saturday, and should be arriving in Vermont sometime this week. Hehehehehe

I received my Elephant Friday! Thanks SO much, Briminator! Actually, my kids tore it open before I even got home, (which pissed me off; they know better than that!) and I had to get them to bring all of it back to me so I could see what had been sent.

I got:

a Mr. Potato Head massager! Jake, my six year old promptly confiscated that one. It’s a hoot!

an insect farm thingy. My fourteen year old, Troy, has that one in his room now, but if he puts any bugs in it, you and I are gonna have to have a talk…

a lamp that looks like a fire hydrant. (Quite cute, I might add. It, too, will reside in my youngest son’s possession.)

a bag of perfectly awful tasting snack chips. Thanks for the warning, but of course, we did have to try them for ourselves. Bad idea. It took me over two hours to rid my mouth of that horrid taste. BLECCCCHH!

a Fortune on a Stick. It claims to be 100% accurate, too!

a coin constructor. My oldest son’s gonna love that one.

and finally, unless I have forgotten something (or never saw it to begin with) a Sexy Shaver. It’s a razor blade holder that is shaped like a naked woman, complete with boobs! My husband claimed that one, needless to say.

Thank you again for your fun, interesting, jun…uh, presents, Brim. No wonder my kids thought it was for them! Just about all of the items seemed hand-picked just for them!

I haven’t sent mine out yet as I’ve been working late quite a lot the last few weeks, but it will be going out by this Friday. I haven’t forgotten my victi…um, I mean, my recipient; I just haven’t had time yet to inflict my punishment upon him.

Bwahaahaaahha! My evil plan has commenced!

:sniff:
[sub]I want my box to come - I haven’t gotten it yet.[/sub]

<snicker>
Sounds like a personal problem. They have people that can help with that, darlin’.

Well, if there’s anything I can do for ya…

May I be the first to say… oh, hell, that one’s too easy!

Rue DeDay sure is super! I opened my goodies this morning, with the following treasure trove:
[ul] Cow mug with little teats on the bottom
two leis (I AM Hawaiian)
a Wacko Warner doll
some monsters, a marble, and some Muppet stickers
three taffy bars
a VERY nice marble!
Glow in the dark ghost
a nightlight from Doris at Jim Huff Realtors
and a mini Swiss Army style knife
[/ul]
And to top it all off [drumroll] TWO, count 'em, TWO Betty Page stencils suitable for use with cheese! [/drumroll]

That is the kind of joy you can’t buy in any store, isn’t it?

Are we still talking about Bunny?

:o Oh! You boys! Always with the innuendo! I’ll have you know I was talking about my White Elephant box, not my, um, er, well, you know…which I have no problems with AT ALL, mind you, but you know, I wasn’t, I mean, I didn’t mean…

:blushes furiously:

Oh, never mind!

:runs off in embarrassment:

I think SilkyThreat’s Mr. Potato Head massager can help with that!

[sup][BunnyGirl] “And where does THIS body part go???” [/BunnyGirl][/sup]

I noticed that you could put the pix of the armadillo mugs on a mug (follow the Buy Products Link) - hm - then take a picture of that, put it on a mug, take another picture…

And or course the resulting mugs become fodder for the next White Elephant!

I mailed mine a week ago today, but with all that has happened I don’t know when it will arrive. But I can’t wait for my person to get it. Bwahahahahaha hahahaha !

Oops sorry I wasn’t going to do the evil laugh thing anymore.

I mailed mine Friday. I had this note written out, telling my person who I was and that I hoped she liked the crap. I taped the entire box up tight, picked it up and saw the note on the floor! LOL. I had to e-mail my person (Shayna)to tell her it was me!

I opened my door and found a small box waiting for me! Thank you katiekilldare!

I got a Neil Finn badge. Was he one of the Finn bros from Split Enz?
A deliciously awful strawberry-shaped ceramic candle holder, complete with strawberry scented candle remains still stuck in it.
A white make-up bag…(can never have too many of these) with various pairs of long dangly earring in it. Some of which I might even wear in public :stuck_out_tongue:
A Duncan yo-yo made of wood!!! This is so cool! I am afraid to take it out of the box and play with it though.
Two keychains, one is an alarm clock. Very cool, I needed an alarm clock. The other is a Katie key ring. Since my daighter is also a Katie, it’s now a zipper pull for her backpack. Thank you
Bunches of other cool stuff…I know my son will love the cube puzzle and the egg of glitter goop. (I’m hiding the “novelty item” so the kids don’t find it.)
The Crocodile Hunter action figure is MINE though…I love it! Especially the look on his face!
I have a feeling the lobster clippy will wind up being a paperweight at TD’s office. Pity, as it reminds me of something my grandmother would have had in her house.

Thanks Katie…your elephants sure brightened my day!

I got mine today! The mail lady had missed it and made a special trip back this afternoon to drop it off. My elephanteer was pcubed. I will open the box live, on-air right now: On the outside of the box are the ominous words “The elephant is here”. Oh my.

The first thing I pull out is a skeleton. Correction; Human Skeleton (AKA Loafman[sup]TM[/sup]) With removable squeaking viscera! OMG! This is really cool, a skeleton with removable guts…and the guts squeak! Too cool, I am so lucky.

Next up is a Down to Earth back massager! A wooden thing-a-ma-bob on wheels. Really neat!

And then a Paperback romance! The Magic, by Robin Lee Hatcher (winner of the Romantic Times storyteller of the year award). I can’t wait to dig into this book!

Next out of the box is a rocking horse with no eyes ornament! No nose and no mouth, either. Kinda cute, and I love horses!

And then, a very cute stuffed bunny holding a heart! I like this cutie, she will join the rest of the stuffed animal menagerie on the top shelf of my computer desk. Now I need to think of a name for her…

Next is a pair of freestyle goggles, junior size! These goggles are:
[ul]
[li] Advanced Gold Medal junior size swim goggles[/li][li] Contoured gasket style eycups[/li][li] Crystal clear safety lens optics[/li][li]Adjustable nose bridge & headstrap[/li][/ul]
Pretty neat, I say.

Last, but not least is a Rocking horse honeycomb decoration! One of those things you set on your table during the holidays. This rocking horse has a pop-up middle to add to the festive atmosphere!

What a great white elephant, pcubed! The skeleton and everything else really rock! Thanks!

Thanks porcupine!

Stayed home to-day to get some stuff done, opened my door about 4:00…and damn near fell on my face tripping over the box sitting on my doormat

Looks like you’ve got extras of a whole buncha stuff. Thinksnow’s mentioned a large amount of what I got. But just in case anyone missed it, herein is a list:
[ul]
[li] A wire basket with a really long handle[/li][li] “Treasures of American Wildlife” 2000-2001 18 month calendar[/li][li] A “Be my Valentine” teddy bear with heart bow-tie. Aaw…,anytime! ::checks over shoulder to see if wife is reading this::[/li][li] “PC World” Win 95 mousepad[/li][li] A small grid notepad (wallet size, yet!)[/li][li] A cutesy-kitty accordian coupon file - with - one for $.50 off Crispix!!! Oh, crap, wait. It expired in '93.[/li][li] My very own pair of “EarPlanes” ear protection - these actually might help; I have trouble adjusting to the pressure.[/li][li] One of those old-timey appliance brass pencil sharpeners shaped like a coffee-mill.[/li][li] A Life in Hell postcard[/li][li] 1/2 of a set of industrial office bookends[/li][li] A Motorola “CDMA 1995” insulated lunch bag[/li][li] An apple(?) shaped china jar with roses all over it - where I’ll put this, I’m sure I have no idea.[/li][/ul]

And BEST OF ALL:
[ul]
[li] Comedy Central’s “South Park,” Volume 1, featuring “Cartman get an anal probe,” and “Volcano!” Oh, you know what I’m watching to-night.[/li][li] A remarkably well-drawn portrait of porcupine[/li][li] A stove-top appliance of sorts, that I think I’ve managed to put together, with holes in the bottom - steamer?[/li][li] A battery-powered heat…thingy - I almost hurt myself trying to figure that one out.[/li][/ul]

You gotta, gotta, gotta tell me what those last two things are!!! [sub]Please?[/sub]

Fun fun fun! Thanks again porcupine! A better white elephant, I couldn’t imagine!

[sub]Oh, and yeah…I changed my screen name just in case you think you sent it to the wrong spot.[/sub]
