I Got My Elephant!!!

Just finished packing a bonus box for Zappo and I want it noted that he specifically asked me for it… I want that read into the record. Just in case, ya know…

How many air holes should I include for the Dalmatian??

Alright the package I sent to superdude was just returned marked moved left no forwarding address. I assume I got Superdude’s name because we had a few drop outs at the start.

Now what do I do ? Superdude, thinksnow will one of you email me ? I don’t want my own junk, I want someone elses junk ! Waaaaaaaaaa

Rue, the someone in MA was Wicked Blue

E.

Ayesha, I sent you Supers old add’y at first, but did a follow-up a day or so after. If you only have the Indiana one, well, that is obviously wrong. You should have gotten a Kentucky one. I have it at work, so if he doesn’t get in contact with you between now and Monday, I’ll send it your way.
Rue, I hearby promote you to Assistant Stand-In Elephant Wrangler Gopher, Third Class. Here’s your pin.

I haven’t “officially” gotten anything yet. What I have gotten so far are wonderful “thank you” baby pachyderms.

Wow. The Third Class pin. I’m speechless. Luckily there’s this keyboard thingy, so, technically I don’t have to say anything. But really, Third Class. Man, it beat all kinds of heck outta Low Class, or No Class, or even Remedial Class.

I’m truely touched. The only downside is, I was touched by thinksnow. I’d rather be touched by bobkitty, or my new Special Friend scout. Or really, any one of a whole slew of Dopettes. Or a slew of Dopettes all at one time. Either way.

And the “Elephant Gopher”, is that like a mole rat, only way bigger?
-Rue.

Gotcha! [sub]::touch::[/sub] Hee hee. [sub]::touch::[/sub] Betcha didn’t even see me coming. [sub]::touch::[/sub] See, the key to a successful ‘Pounce-n-poke’ maneuver [sub]::touch::[/sub] is the prepatory butt-wiggle. [sub]::touch::[/sub] No one can escape the butt-wiggle. Cranky as an Old Man must certainly win an award for clean closets or being an over-achiever. U Pick. Thanks for making this so interesting. This is the most fun I’ve had opening a box that wasn’t on Christmas - or not yet my birthday (tomorrow). Thanks Cranky.

I finally got to check out my elephant today. I have had it for a couple weeks now but have been unable to open it because I have been at college. Among the amazing stuff I recieved: [ul]
[li]Leather planner[/li][li]Electronic yahtzee w/ slightly burned scorecards[/li][li]Star Trek Coasters[/li][li]Cool Metal Texas Boot[/li][li]Paris, Texas pin[/li][li]Shoe Horn[/li][li]Bottle Opener[/li][li]Various keychains[/li][li]Calculator[/li][li]Ear Plugs[/li][li]Smaple Body Wash Packet[/li][li]Logic Gamebook[/li][li]and various other cool stuff.[/li][/ul]

My girlfriend immediately took the bodywash and logic gamebook, but the rest is mine all mine I tell ya!! [mongrel laughs maniacally], but dobbinaire I just have one question what is the grey plastic beltbuckle looking thing? It has safefit stamped on one side and Prime BZ on the other side. Also what is that wrench supposed to be used for?

Heh Heh Heh. You have no idea how happy I was to unload that crap.

A few notes: The camisole is really a negligee–just a delightfully short one. Wink wink.

The norge coffee mug really is from Norway.

The french postcard really is from France.

I’m sorry that buck knife is pink, because it really is a nice knife. Bummer about the girlie color though, eh?

I just started grabbing stuff and throwing it in. And more stuff, and more stuff, and more stuff. I like frogs, can you tell?

You’re welcome, mongrel_8. (BTW, that’s two questions, college student :p)

The grey ‘beltbuckle’ is for an automobile seatbelt. Slide the shoulder belt into one of the two slits and the lap belt into the other [sub]something like that[/sub] on either side. Then adjust it to keep the shoulder part of the belt off your neck. Hope it works better for you than it did for me :).
The wrench? I have no idea, I don’t remember, why do you think I threw it awa… um, gave it to you?. Maybe you can find a use for it :D.

Um, MonkeyMensch? Are you out there? I sent your elephant weeks ago! Did you get it?

i do hope my bestest friend in texas got a paper box full of stuff by now. i mailed it out around the third or 10th of sept. (i know it was a monday) there was an env. taped to the lid of the box because i forgot to put it in the box when i taped it up.

Just got back from a week camping in the Great Northwoods! (Yes, we got rained on and yes we froze our cojones off)

I’m hoping to see a package when we go collect our mail tomorrow!

Yes, it was I, the Mystery Elephant Person. (Hmmmph. I know I wrote a note. Guess I’ll find it under the furniture somewhere)

**
Glad you like the Asteroid. I hoped you would find it as gloriously tasteless as I did.

**
The floppies were a Genuine Registered Setup Program for DOS 6.0© and Windows 3.1©. Tsk. Someday they woulda been a collectors’ item. (Snerk) And criminal? Guess it’s open to interpretation (double Snerk)

It’s some sort of puzzle. You’re supposed to line up all the wheels so that identical colors are adjacent on each wheel.

Did you like the nifty triangular three-color highlighter?

But, good lord, y’all Dopers! Ya make me feel like a slacker, seeing all the voluminous inventory lists here! Guess I’m a weird, abnormal person: I have no pack-rat tendencies. What a sicko.

:goes out to mailbox and checks for box:

No box.

:waits patiently, twiddling thumbs, humming:

I was finally able to pick up my tasty White Elephant package last week, but I couldn’t post about it until now. Mine is from beegirl13, a newbie but a goodie!

I’m completely swamped at work, which is the only place I can get online (no 'puter at home), but I’ll come back and post the awesome selection of stuff she gave me as soon as I can. Trust me, it will be worth the wait.

Also, to my person, I finally made your package this weekend, and I’ll mail it at lunch. So sorry for the delay. Please don’t be mad for keeps.

Lunatic13 - Sure, if you want to use that in your signature, feel free. Do you have some connection to Wausau? I’m wondering, because of the book.

Cranky - I noticed you sent out a couple of things that are connected to Mackinac Island. Do you live near there? Did you vacation there? Just curious.

MonkeyMensch - Is it there yet?

::stands beside Bunny in the not-got-yet club, whispers to Bunny about her pierced belly button and asks more stupid questions to pass the time::

I forgot the best thing of all. I got a keychain that first looks like a puzzle (black with white balls and sections that turn). What it actually is, the entire braille alphabet. Very cool.

I have my junk boxed up and ready to fly. Didn’t make it to the post office this weekend. Damn, I’m a slacker!

I sent mine out a week ago Saturday (the 15th), paid extra for Priority Mail and extra to track it. The US Post Office website says it’s still not there yet. :frowning: Hopefully it will arrive soon.
