Yes, I was going to say, enjoy the time off between graduation and starting work. I took a couple of trips to the beach and really lived it up until I decided to buckle down. Now, the weeks seem to just slip by as I rot away in my cubicle.
I’m sitting for CAS course 5 this May. It’s getting weird: these upper level exams are so different from the other ones. Hope I figure out how to handle it in time. You?
I still need CAS 8. I failed it last May, so I had the fall sitting off and I’m starting to study again for next May.
For my money, the CAS exams were better than the joint exams–more reading and less math. Plus 5, 6, 7, and parts of 9 are actually, like, job-related so you can see some benefit. (8 unfortunately isn’t). But yes, they’re very different and it’s an adjustment at first.
Our actuarial exam results were released yesterday. We got nine passes from ten attempts in our office - an unheard of success rate. Needless to say, there wasn’t an awful lot of work done for the rest of the day. Lots of champagne got drunk though.
