I almost started this exact thread this afternoon. Today was teh last day of semester for me. Finished my papers and a small assignment and went to school to hand them in. One exam Monday evening and I’m DONE!!! I’ve already dipped into the alcohol for a small, personal celebration. (Psst, Kyth, wanna join me?)
Great thing is*, I’m done everything Monday night. My roommates’ school doesn’t end semester until next Thursday, and their exams start Friday. Boo-ya!
*Well, aside from the fact that I only have one exam that isn’t in class and it’s on the first day of the exam period. I really lucked out this semester. It did make this week stressful though, since I had three exams and two papers to do. Oh well, it’s over. Thank Og.
You people are lucky. I have a whole month left.
Also, multiple strikes by the teachers and support staff in the next few weeks means that our carefully-planned lab exam schedule has to be moved. Moved up. As in, closer to now. Microbiology’s 3-day exam is being moved up a week, and Biochemistry is two weeks earlier now. Both of them are covering the whole semester’s material. So instead of having plenty of time to review everything calmly, I get to freak out and live in a caffeinated bubble in my room for a month. Thank heaven the students at my school voted against a student strike. We can’t afford to miss any more class and lab time!
Enjoy the nice spring weather for me, Jayn and Kythereia. Maybe report back sometimes to give me a sense of contact with the world…

After finishing my first year of teaching, during checkout day, I went to a local cafe and had a hamburger and beer for lunch before returning to shcool (the students were out for the summer)…and I was drunk!..from one beer!
Really a joyous feeling, isn’t it?

I graduated almost exactly a year ago. Best. Feeling. Ever.

Grumble, grumble, grumble… stupid institute… grumble, exams on may 20th… grumble grumble, grumble… more than a month of classes… grumble, grumble, grumble…
This will be me in about 3 months, when I graduate with my BA. Then I will get sad, as I realize I still have 2 years of grad school to get my MA before I can become unemployed for a living.
I still have two more years to go after this for my BJ(H). But for now, I’m DONE!!!

I finished my last paper (on an extension) this morning…checks watch…last morning and there’s nothing left but exams. And I’ve only got one more shift left before my job is over and I have Saturdays freeeeeeee! And I bet I’ve just killed this thread but I don’t care cause I’m freeeeeeee! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I’ve only got 32 more years and a world of crap to listen to before I can retire! Yaaaay!
I just had my first exam yesterday. I have a couple days “off” (well, you know I’ll be cramming…) until my final three exams on the 19th, 20th, and the 21st.
Then my two spring courses, Finance and Marketing, will begin. It never ends!
