We have a new daughter as well. She is 6, from HangZhou, China and the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Congratulations, Geobabe and Uncle Bill! Listen to the parents of twins, they’re right – they are more work! Whew! When I was 17 and my mom was 39, she had twins. It took our whole house (mom, dad, me, two other siblings and grandparents!) to keep things running smoothly. Ack! But my sisters are now 24 years old and my good friends. We made it through.
And, here’s a hug to you! I’m 41 and had a baby last September. Keep fit! You’ll be glad you did!
And congratulations again!! Children are a blessing!

My twins are great, it’s actually FUN now.
note to Geobabe um, it’s always been fun, I’ve had one great day after another, yep yep, laugh a minute, twins are SO EASY to take care of, no banging my head against the wall over here.
Um, not to disagree w/Ms. Cherry, but I can’t hold back the unsolicited advice any longer.
Get Barbara Lukes’ book on twin pregnancy. Keeping fit may be a good idea for you, or it may not. Twin pregnancies can be tricky for some women. It’s a totally different ballgame compared to singleton pregnancy. I have no idea how Julia Roberts managed to take Pilates classes, I thought she was nuts.
I didn’t have any problems or serious complications (just mild gestational diabetes) and managed to carry my twins for 38 weeks, 5 days. It may be because I didn’t do hardly anything during most of my pregnancy. Or I may have just been lucky, I don’t know. I didn’t even empty the dishwasher or put away laundry after about 20 weeks.

Thanks again, to everyone. I apologize for not responding to all personally, but, well, that’s a lotta posts! Everything is still going well and I’m feeling fine. I’m pleasantly surprised at how easily this pregnancy is going so far, and I’m enjoying it while I can.
