Spidey, it is a peculiar talent, but we all have one…
Grey and gloomy outside today but I was brave enough to get the bike out again and cycle to the station. I am hoping the weather forecast is accurate and we will have a dry day with a bit of sun so I don’t get rained on while I cycle home again.
I have volunteered to cook tonight since 'im indoors is home from Chermany for a few days, so I took a bag of meat out of the freezer this morning. It is probably chicken, but there’s no guarantee, thus I will not know for sure what we’re having for dinner until I get home again and see what it was I took out. I could have solved the problem by putting labels on the bags of meat, but where’s the fun in that?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up caffeinated and purtified so no YAWN. 'Tis 70 degrees outside with a predicted high of ONLY 85 for the day and maybe rain. Or not. Who knows? That’s pretty much the forecast for the day.
We’re goin’ to Pearly’s for brekkie this mornin’. YUM! Today will be a day in the orifice and I’m glad for that especially after yestiddy’s marathon day on the road. More of that to come next week however.
BooFae shades of high school cafeteria! You’re dindin sounds like it will be what they called “Manager’s Special.”
Ok, that’s all I got. I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom which means OYKW is all purtified so we’ll get outta here in a few.
**FCD **is going to work 4 day weeks for a while because things are slow at the office and he wants to get his bike done. So we’re going out for breakfast in a bit. Then I’ve got 2 dozen eggs that need boiling and deviling. And some towels need to be washed. And other stuff.
And Taz is fine - at the moment, he’s sitting in the middle of the hallway, because one of his best talents is being in the way. It really was chicken!!
We haz breakfasted, I’ve got a load of towels in the washer and 2 dozen eggs on the stove. I also need to wrap my niece’s shower gifts and load some stuff in the car for my sister so I don’t forget it. Much to be done…
It’s chilly and overcast and dreary, but we’re promised sun and warmth, so we shall see.
My iris are beautiful, and if all goes well, next year they’ll be even beautifuller and more numerous. But I’m enjoying what I have for now, since none bloomed last year. Yay for iris!
Warming slowly around here after two beautiful but colder days. Rain for the weekend and this was the weekend we planned for doing the flower thing at all the cemeteries. Oh well, I guess there is always the golf umbrella.
Towels are on the line and stinky doggy afghans are in the washer. The eggs are boiled and presently cooling in ice water. After I hang out the afghans, I’ll start peeling the eggs. The shells better come off cleanly or I will not be happy.
Going to a play tonight, and I’m trying to figure out at what time I should leave and be able to pick up my ticket, have dinner, etc.
And I need to try to get some work done at home too.
It’s a sunny 59 degrees and supposed to get up 77.
Warmer than yesterday.
Preparing to head out for the armpit sometime in the next few days.
It’s the birthday weekend and we are expected.
We’ll have pizza for dinner, my mother will bake him a jello cake and buy him some stock. She’d buy him a car if he’d get his damn license. Although it’d make better sense for him to hold onto the money and drive my truck. it’s not like I drive it that much.
He found an online game he likes so I’ll get that for him.
My birthday will be the afterthought, not that I mind.
Eggs have been deviled, altho the filling won’t be squooshed into the whites till I get them to Mom’s tomorrow. Afghans are on the line and with luck, all the essence of critter will evaporate as the water dries.
I’s tahred! That was a busy morning. And I’m not hungry because I had a big breakfast. Just tahred out.
It’s sunny and loverly out. I’ve opened the house to let some of the warm in - I was chilly for a bit there. I’ve been posting pics of my beautiful iris on my FB if anyone cares. I care. They’re loverly!!!
I should think about something for supper. Maybe tuna steak.
Two very dynamic, influential, and well respected women in the American Mensa organization passed away within a day of each other. The mourning can be heard nationwide.
I finally wrapped the gifts I got for my niece’s shower. It’s a bunch of kitchen gadgetry and it all came from WalMart, so if she doesn’t like it or if I gave her dupes, she can exchange it easily. The wrapping was a round purple plastic tablecloth adorned with white curling ribbons. I love using curling ribbons, except when idiot Taz tries to eat them. I did my best to keep the cat spit to a minimum. Anyway, it’s in the car, ready to go.
I’ve packed almost everything else I have to take. The carpet cleaner still needs to be loaded and I have to remember the eggs to finish deviling.
I’ve also loaded the kiln. When **FCD **finishes futzing in the basement, he’s supposed to throw all his breakers off - we can’t have the compressor kicking on while the kiln is kilning. I’ll get it started this evening, and it should be done before I leave in the morning. Then it’ll have all day and night to cool, and I can empty it on Sunday morning. Then the glazing begins!!
