I had two years paid for with subscription

and I come back today and can’t sign in except as with limited guest procedures. I expect a refund for at least one of those years. That just isn’t right.

Actually, what you’re stating is not from any problem on our side: Either you have privileges or you don’t. And you can post, etc., so you have privileges.

So what’s the problem here? Where are you having difficulties?

What MAY be the problem – just theorizing here – are you by any chance attempting to access the Dope from an “anonymizer” website? We have blocked quite a few of them and block more of them every day, so yes, it’s possible if you’re trying to access from there you won’t get through.

Also possible that the other location where you’re attempting to access the board has us blocked for some reason. Is this your office? Is this a place like a public library? The Straight Dope has been blocked in both kinds of locations before.

We need more information.

Then you should have record of the two payments; I’d recommend getting those records rounded up and ready to send off to establish the dates and amounts. :slight_smile:
