Blockhead brother is back at it again, doing what he does best which is being dead wrong. Hey fuckface, you know what your problem is? You have no tricks. You’re a talentless turd who can’t get anything right.
You totally fail to understand what got us in this recession. You can’t see past the nose on your face. Outsourcing is part of the process of creative destruction you nimrod, that’s what I’ve been saying. Your reading comprehension is another point of proof why you should sue whoever “educated” you.
What exactly is the point of you being here? Do you just like always being wrong? Is that it?
Ya know, I don’t believe I have ever witnessed someone becoming stupider by the minute. Until now that is. I expect that, at this rate, you should have the intelligence of a garden slug in about 12 hours. Of course, that will be a blessing for the SDMB as at that point I imagine you will lose all mouse control and therefore be unable to post.
XT don’t you ever stop? I suppose it must be tough to replace so many keyboards. Your I button and the m and e buttons must wear out from your misplaced ego. You are bloviating away again and again. Whining and bitching are not the same thing as intelligent posting. Your self delusion is incredible.
Yes, we are all far too stupid to understand your complex logical argument of “I’m right, you’re wrong, neener neener neener”. You must have gotten a whole five gold stars for that one from your kindergarten teacher.
I guess I’ll intrude into this mutual hate fest with an explanation, just in case you really don’t get it.
The problem with the graph is that all of them have shown job increases in much less time than the current recession. Even if the current graph eventually resembles a U instead of a , it will still have taken the longest time to recovery. It makes sense to assume something that is being done differently that is causing this discrepancy.
The fact that jobs are being destroyed intentionally is an obvious place to look.
If you assume that we have to get back to zero (4% unemployment) then yes, this recession will look different than previous. But what should we assume that?
Secondly, there are plenty of times when unemployment fell 3% in a matter of years, so it could just as likely happen again.
Lastly, why do we need to have it happen like previous recessions? Is a rush back to zero a good thing? Maybe a gradual, but steady decline in unemployment is better for the health of our economy than a rush back to “normal.” If you look at the real data, you’ll see that returning to “normal” was promptly followed by yet another recession. That’s the sort of data the other chart fails to mention.
This so called “creative destruction” graph (here) looks nice because of all the pretty colours. But consider 1948, recovery back to “normal” in 20 months, followed by two years of “normal” and then the 1953 crash.
That one took a couple years, followed by two years of “normal” before the crash in 1958. And if you actually look at that one closer you’ll see that unemployment went from 3% to 6% and then recovered to 4%, never getting back to 3%.
The 1958 recover lasted about a month before becoming the 1960 crash. And again, unemployment when from 4% to 7%, but only recovered back to 5%, and didn’t reach 4% until 1966.
Today’s lesson: Past performance is not indicative of future results.
It will not indicate the future if the past has a different combination of factors. The jobs were always here in the past. Now they are gone. If the economy picks up dramatically, I am sure China and India will appreciate it. But it wont matter to us. Our shuttered manufacturers are out of business. I am sure our corporations will be happy to add staff in China. it wont be here.
You got that right! Every time I read one of either your or gonzomax’s posts I feel an uncontrollable urge to slam my head against my key board at the stupidity I’m seeing. Not simply because of your stupidity (or The Gonz’s)…but because you seem to get a pass (or are being ignored) but other 'dopers, who, presumably, have intelligences that can be measured in more than single digits.
I am curious though…are you and gonzo related? You SEEM to have a lot in common, including a serious lack of both intelligence and education. To put it bluntly, both of you are stupid AND ignorant…a bad combination.
I’ll stop hammering you for being what you are when you stop posting.
It is, but I will endeavor to persevere…
I thought it was just my hat size that was effected. Well, and of course the need to get the extra large Texas condoms…
Sadly, you don’t even get to that level in your posts.
The irony of this post, especially in a thread called I hate Conservatives is…well, it’s pretty fucking ironic, no?
Possibly. Your delusions of relevance on this board are, like the irony of the previous statement, off the scale.
Then who is going to be left to point out inevitable mistakes Obama makes? Or do you think he is perfect? At least our republican presidents are confirmed citizens.
I don’t expect to change you, in fact, ironically, I think it’s people like you that make this country interesting if not great. But consider one thing. If you hate right wing conservatives, how far to the left towards radicalism/libertarianism do you go until you stop? First you hate rich people who made this country what it is and gave you a job to show up at. Then you watch Michael Moore movies. Then you think the arabs and big corps like msft are bankrolling politicians. Then soon to justify your laziness and drug use you start hating the govt., start believing in contrails, free love, aliens, and wonder if we ever even went to the moon. Seriously, where does the left end?
I think the answer is kooksville. Because in the spirit of Occam’s razor, there is a simpler answer you will eventually come to if you wake up. You dems are just jealous of us conservatives who’ve put sweat equity into building companies from the ground up. We understand that capitalism isn’t perfect and has a price. Namely, a little corruption is always going to be everywhere and it will always make the big headlines and great movies. But there are always two sides to a story, and without us you would wither even further into the abyss of communism/joblessness. VR
Aaaaaaaaaand right there you’ve just validated Le Jacquelope’s view of conservatives as delusional idiots. Well done, sir. Your fellow conservatives here must be so proud.
I would address the rest of your post but it’s nothing that hasn’t been discussed here a bazillion times already and since you’ve just demonstrated a complete lack of regard for your own credibility there’s no point anyway.
Honestly? I thought the whole birther business was over, that the crazies had moved on to something else. The other day I came across an ad for a t-shirt (apparently un-ironic), sporting Obama’s picture, with the words “BARRY SOETORO” and “Where is the birth certificate?”
I thought briefly – briefly – of buying one for my African, muslim brother in law. But as nice a fellow as he is, I’m sure it’s already trying enough to put up with my atheistic, dog-owning, crass-sense-of-humor ass. Besides, he’s Senegalese, so it’s not like he and Obama knew each other growing up or something.
