Having followed many threads involving the horned one, I’d go with ‘yeah, he can’ as the best answer. This, of course, doesn’t preclude that he’s not trolling as well. I think he IS trolling for what he thinks are ‘conservatives’ on this board. The funny thing is that he’s so stupidly transparent about it that only he (and perhaps the mods who are giving him the benefit of the doubt) doesn’t see what he’s doing.
Pretty sure he’ll have everyone on this board on ignore (save maybe gonzomax and a few others who me probably considers moderate right wingers but who agree with him enough that he considers them a fine echo chamber) and then we can see him talking to himself, boldly predicting the imminent destruction of the US economy as we rapidly sink to third world status and glorying in all the older predictions that he made that came true just as he said they would.

Social Security is extremely efficient. It is very well run at less than 2 percent of its intake. The for profit health care runs on more than 30 percent. They are jacking up rates like crazy because when the health care bill takes effect it will limit them to 15 percent. That horrifies them.
The army, navy and airforce are not for profit and is doing fine. The only place it fails is where for profit corporations try to loot us.

Social Security is a Ponzi scheme that has gone bust. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it and yet you claim it is efficient.
Social Security’s scheme depends on people being employed. Last time I looked, the unemployment rate is up over 10%. And yet the SS “trustees” are basing all their numbers on a rate around 5% employment.
Your former hero Greenspan saved SS in 1982. He funneled 2.3 trillion into it to take care of the baby boomers. I do understand the desperation of those who have such an ignorant belief that SS is broke. I am sure you can amuse yourselves with twisted figures to enforce each other.
You want to see a broken system, check out the banks. They caused the depression we are in and managed to make themselves whole on taxpayer money. Your vitriol is always aimed in the wrong direction. SS is funded by a tax on working people. that is how it has always been funded. It is solvent for another 30 years and tweaking will fix it.
The Greenspan fix was intended to canibalize the new funds it accumulated. It was deliberate. When the boomers came through they were supposed to use them all up and when they were through it would return to former levels. i am shocked it took you so long to discover that but not that you misrepresent it. They are just stupid in different ways. Le Jac basically has writing skills that the Gonz can only dream of, too be sure. Le Jac might be marginally more intelligent than gonzomax (to be sure, I don’t believe you could be less intelligent than The Gonz and still be a functioning human being), and better educated wrt English syntax and grammar and the ability to write coherent sentences.
But Le Jac is just as ignorant as The Gonz on the subjects he chooses to weigh in on…in fact, arguably he’s MORE ignorant, as occasionally I’ve at least caught a glimmer that gonzo has at least a tenuous grasp of a subject. Both of them suffer from the delusion that they know what they are talking about and that what they are talking about is either interesting or relevant. One of the more amusing things about the horned one is he actually thinks he’s winning all his debates and sending the hated right wing economists to flight in phear of his awesome skilz. What’s funny about that is most of the ‘right wing economists’ he thinks he’s battling are actually the more lucid and knowledgeable board lefties, with only a smattering from folks like Sam or John (not that I’d consider either exactly a right wing economist…outside of this board of course). And the fact that he thinks he’s actually winning these debates is just funny…in a sad, pitying sort of way.
Both of their problems are that they didn’t come here to either learn or to debate the merits of their positions. There is no debate with either of them…it’s more like witnessing in every post.
