I hate Fox.

I used to be a regular Simpsons watcher. Every Sunday, 7 o’clock I’d tune in. Then I got a job, and had to work Sundays. That’s how it’s been the last 3 years. Well finally, I get a job where there’s no work on Sundays, and I get all psyched up about watching it last week, (even if it was a rerun, I probably hadn’t seen it) and it was pre-empted by a damn game. I don’t want to watch sports! I want to watch the Simpsons! I’ve been waiting three years for this. Oh well, that’s okay hopefully it’ll be on next week, I think. Check the listings tonight. Nope! Apparently 24 is much better than the Simpsons. All I can say is that I hope Fox doesn’t decide to show something other than the Simpsons in the 7 o’clock timeslot next week.

Next week will be a new episode of King of the Hill at 7pm followed by a new ep of Malcolm in the Middle.

Erm, that’s 7:00 Central, so it looks like I’m getting what I want.

But it will probably end up being pre-empted yet again.

As a huge Simpsons fan, I’d like to say that anymore, I’ll take new 24 over new Simpsons any day.

Except for when they’re relevant. (What was it, the big FOX news van rolling up with some sort of anthem playing? OH I forget it now. It was relevant though.) It might as well have been “Weeeee are the champions, my friend…” hehe Queen.

How many new Simpsons have they actually aired this season? They started the season in November, ran something like three new episodes, and then went back to reruns for the holiday season. It’s as if they were trying to pull a Futurama on the Simpsons.

Yup. Especially the season premier.

You’re pitting FOX for this measly infraction?!?!

There are so many more worthy reasons which to pit Fox.

Howsabout - Fox doing the superbowl when they have proven hands down that they do the worst coverage of NFL games.

Or them bragging avery half hour about their “high definition” broadcasts which are mearly extended def; not high def. Not that it matters in the greater Kansas City Metro area where Fox devotes a whole 1000 watts to their broadcast signal (compared the other locals who broadcast at 40,000 to 80,000 watts) which means you can’t receive a Fox "high def " picture if your house is more than 100 feet away from the attena.

There’s only been 5 new eps so far.

Somebody has never watched a game on CBS.

Nah. The absolutely worst coverage was on NBC. In fact, NBC’s coverage of absolutely anything sucks ass.

That’s exactly the song they were playing, after all the other small news vans pulled up the huge Fox News 18-wheeler rolled in with an enormous “Bush/Cheney” poster on the side, blaring “We are the Champions”…

Funniest moment on Simpsons in the last five years…

No, to pull a Futurama, The Simpsons would have to be scheduled to air, and then be preempted by inane postgame coverage. The Simpsons wasn’t scheduled to air, and won’t air for a few weeks. The Simpsons is the only show Fox execs like because it pulls in money and isn’t “out there.” You want to talk about Futurama treatment? How about Malcom in the Middle? it was preempted three straight weeks, even though the game ended early enough to allow the entire episode to air on time, or no more than five minutes late! And still they aired Stupid Jocks Babbling Incoherently About the Same Thing We just Saw Two Minutes Ago.

Being a Simpsons fan, I think Cancellation would serve the show well, before it turns into complete crap. You haven’t missed much this season.

At least Arrested Development airs whole episodes.

Sorry about the rant. I’ve been wanting to explode for so long.

I love the Simpsons, and we watch sports on Fox. When I watch them, I have to keep the remote at the ready. Some Fox shows are so mind-piercingly bad, I can’t even stand to hear the trailers that Fox piles onto every commercial break.

Actually, this year they are broadcasting true High Definition - 720p to be exact. Last season was only 480p ED however.

Their crap during the World Series - such as “interviewing” that Nike commercial character as if he was an actual player - was unforgivable as well.

CBS coverage is fine. You just have to turn off the idiot announcer (Randy Cross) and get the audio off the radio.
