Dad’s idea of the only possible way to turn this series of commercials around is for the fat kid to wise up (“Hey! I’m twice the size of this freaky little toad!”) and beat the stuffing out of David Spade.

The barbarian commercials are funnier.

But Capital One itself absolutely sucks pond water.

I like Spade–hell, I enjoyed Joe Dirt. His new Showbiz show on Comedy Central is smart and funny.

I like the wire one because the first time, the “I hear sometimes, you say yes” with the wink flew right over my head. So the second time, when I got it, it was twice as funny.

That part is at least somewhat funny (because the fat guy clearly doesn’t “get it” – if he did, he’d be an obnoxious pig).

I’ll take Spade over the new ones featuring families and their problems with blackout dates any day. Especially the one with the guy with his wife and kids at his parents to celebrate everything.
