I always seem to waste them away getting depressed about having to start a whole new week of work the next day.
Sunday is my only day off (I work 6 days a week, 7 hrs Mon-Fri 5 hrs Sat) so I have a love/hate relationship with them. I love it cuz it’s my day off, but, because it’s my ONLY day off, it’s kinda depressing. Around 8 pm I start getting that “Damn… the weekend’s over” feeling.
I’m going to join Rasa with sunday being my only day off. I’m in Uni and I have lectures monday to saturday mornings, so Sunday is the only day I can sleep in…
Wait. Sorry. The only day I’m allowed to sleep in.
Hmm… did I have a point lurking in there? Oh, yeah. Sundays. So, I get to sleep in, and this is good, and there’s no work I have to do. This is also good.
The problem is, there’s free time; When there is free time there is almost always work I should be doing to fill said free time. There is also the knowledge that more work is imminent. So, either Sunday is spent working which kindof spoils the weekend thing, or Sunday is spent relaxing but with the nagging feeling that I should be working, or have work immediately coming up.
So, put me down as another who has a love/hate relationship with sunday.
Welcome to the long, dark tea-time of the soul.
This is the last Sunday for which I have to get up and go to work tomorrow…at least for a while. I have 5 days of work left for the summer, then a week (including both weekends, of course) to go home and visit my family, and then school starts. I don’t usually love Sunday’s during the school year, but since I have no classes at all on Tuesdays, I think this semester will be fun! And since I only have one semester to go before graduation…well, I think things are pretty good right now.
Although there is still that nagging feeling that I should be doing something else - like cleaning. This place is covered in cat hair! Arrghh!
How can anyone be depressed in Edinburgh?!
I hear you - but hey!! Next Monday is Labor Day and we can enjoy the last Sunday of August because we (most of us) don’t have to go to work Monday.
mnemesyne, yep, cat hair, damn - I must dust now. Just a few more minutes on the SDMB, and I’ll be getting right on that!
Quite easily.
You’re a complete kneebiter. He could handle anything but Sundays.
