"I Hate You, Count Blucher!" truffles

Mix together:

1 pkg cream cheese
3 cups confectionery (powdered) sugar
Add in 1 1/2 cups melted chocolate (18 oz?)
Stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla

Stir until the spoon is about to snap, even if its metal.

Then, Roll the confection into balls (1 inch diameter?)

Put the balls on a waxed paper surface until they are all rolled.

One by one, Roll the confection balls in a bowl of chopped nuts til the outside is covered.

Place finished product in a wax-paper lined sort of Tupperware container.

Refrigerate After Making!!! (very important)

To Eat, you Must do the following:

  1. Pour yourself 1 glass of Cabernet Sauvignon red wine first. Or the Heartiest Red in your rack.

  2. Take one truffle & bite half of it.

  3. Sip the wine while you are chewing.

  4. [Most Important] Look up to the ceiling and yell ‘Damn You, You Bastard! I Hate You!!!’ when you are done.

(…the endorphins you release will intensify the effect. And its OK to hate me. An Awful lot o’ people already do. I can stand a few more. Happy Holidays!)

hah. I may have to try this.

Can you mix it in a food processor?

I think I just might have to give this a shot.

I’ll keep you posted on the hatin’.

How big of a package of cream cheese?
They come in several sizes here.

This is my new Christmas Eve plan.

Moved MPSIMS --> Cafe Society, with no particular animosity.

Most of the cream cheese here comes in 12 oz pkgs.

Oh, gosh, I forgot. You could also add a shot or two of your favorite hard liquor into the mix while stirring. But be very careful. The taste of the alcohol gets lost in the truffle & you could get drunk fairly easily.

This could lead to dancing…

Oh my.

This is now my new New Year’s plan.
I suspect the hatin’ part will be saved until I next step on the scale, however. :stuck_out_tongue:

What kind of chocolate?

Chocolate: Semi-sweet morsels.

If you add alcohol, you can skip the vanilla extract.

Happy Holidays!!!

Thanks–I may give this a try.

1 cup of chocolate chips = 6 oz. So 1 1/2 cups is 9 oz. I’m talking the chips, prior to melting.

Made some truffles this weekend myself! Not the same as your recipe though. I used Amaretto in mine.

They’re probably amazing! You just can’t can’t curse me out for them though. Well, technically you could… (how would I know? )
