So I went to the Multnomah County Animal Shelter and picked out this beautiful, amazing cat. She’s eight months old, and I’ve never seen markings like hers before. She’s silvery gray with subtle gold streaks and HUGE golden eyes. And she’s SO LOVING!! It’s kind of hard to type this, actually… she’s saying
“Your keyboard doesn’t love you as much as I do! STOP TYPING ON IT!”
(Okay, she’s not literally SAYING this…)
She’s like a puppy! She jumps up and licks people’s faces, and she likes her tummy scratched.
Also, I bought her during a cat sale, so she was only $11.00…
Just a wonderful little cat. Can I post a link to a pic?
I’ve been here off and on for a LONG time, but probably more off than on. I totally admit that I’ve never been sure about the link-to-pics rule (and I think it’s changed a couple of times, too.) I would THINK that I could link to it… people link to all kinds of pics for a lot of other purposes. So… ??
Actually, I feel really bad for the dogs. The day I was there was kind of a mob scene in the feline arena… people standing guard over a chosen cage and glaring at anyone else who wanted to pet the cat, volunteers frantically putting up “taken” slips, snide comments from people who thought a cat they liked was available, and somebody else grabbed it five minutes before… but not nearly as many takers for those dogs. It’s almost impossible to find a rental property here without breed restrictions, which is why I stick to cats!
That would make me sad, too. But as a feline rescue worker, it’s the other way around in this city, so hearing about the cat selection dwindling on any given day makes me smile. Unfortunately they’ll be able to refill those cages in no time.
She looks like my Mousie, except Mouse has the weirdest eye color I’ve ever seen. In certain lights her eyes have a teal color, but most of the time they’re just gray.
Anyway, yay for kitties!
