I have a brand new puppy!

Oh, yes I do. He’s the tiniest little fella I’ve ever seen, but oh! the love! He is absolutely adorable…

But, you guessed it, no name yet. I was hoping he’d name himself somehow, but no such luck.

This is not him, but he looks like this, with a little bit more brown and gray on his face and ears. It’ll fade in time, he’ll be more or less white when he’s an adult.

I can’t wait for Saturday when I go pick him up. I have to puppy-proof my apartment now.

I just came to see the happy, bouncy puppy dance…

I love that dance.

Congrats on the new puppy Soda.

Cute dog!
Do you expect this dog to be very athletic? Jumping and such?

Yes, they may be small, but they are strong, and very agile. They can trick jump and stuff like that. I’d like to do agility with him later on.

Is he all one thing? Or is he some obscure Swedish breed? Whatever he is, he’s way cute. Fuzzy puppies are the best.
-Rue.

The breed is a Coton de Tuléar, originating from Madagascar. I haven’t been able to find any pages in English about the breed, but let me see what I can dig out.

And I love fuzzy puppies! They are indeed the best.

Hi Soda, can I join your new puppy club? I got a puppy on Saturday. His name is Angus McGyver and he’s eight and a half weeks old now.

I can’t believe how much I love him. He sits on my feet when I dry my hair. He snuggles me when I pet him. He eats everything in my house. I love, love, LOVE him! Puppies are marvelous!

I wish my puppy and your puppy could play together.

Here’s a page about Cotons in English.

Too cool. I looked up the breed in one of my dog books (The Mini-Atlas of Dog Breeds) and they sound too cool. (I’m a big “dog geek”, among other sundry “geek” types)

I also did a Google search and found the American Coton de Tulear Association club.

So there you go, an English language site.

Of course when I “previewed” there was your post Soda with your site. So mine is just another one. I am merely redundant.
-Rue.

Do you ever get the feeling that you might burst from joy and excitement? I have it, I have it bad. But in a good way of course.

SexyWriter, my baby was born on June 26, so he’s also eight and a half weeks old. I can’t wait to get him home so I can snuggle and shower him with love and kisses.

Yes! And even the other morning, when I was standing outside in the pouring rain at 4:30, with a poo-covered puppy struggling and tangled in the leash, I was STILL in love with him. My puppy can do no wrong!

Our doggies are the same age exactly. That’s neat. Mine will be big soon though…he’s a labrador retriever.

Enjoy them while they’re little and sweet. 5 years ago I had a little ball of fur. Now, if you’re short, and she likes you, she puts her paws on your shoulders to lick you.
