I never would’ve known about my new grey one, if I had continued my shaving routine. But since the hospital messed up my “hairstyle” last month, I’ve been letting it grow.
I first noticed my white (not grey–only bright white) hairs in my nose. Long, hard, and wiry, completely different from the rest of my soft and very dark hair. The beard was next (I can’t even grow a full beard yet!–27 and not done with puberty). Then, the pubes. Now, the eyebrows. And the temples. And on my upper arms, for some reason.
I’m told I have relatives who were totally white-haired by 30. I’m looking forward to it…
Forty-five year old bloke here. All my pubes are the same colour as they always were, but the luxuriant carpet of manly hair on my chest has decided to go grey. However, the grey is only in a large patch in the middle: it looks like someone has attacked me with talcum powder.
Another bizarre thing is that the chest hair is growing at various rates. The right side is definitely longer than the left. This seems to have begun after I had to have some cardiac examinations last year which involved the shaving of 6 areas to facilitate the placing of electrodes. I do NOT want to shave it all off because (1) it would look absolutely ridiculous and (2) it would be flipping uncomfortable as the hairs grew back.
I only have one grey hair on my head.
But I have several down in the pubic region.
I don’t know what that says about my stress level.
Isn’ t that weird? I’m 44 and have developed several “old lady hairs” on my chin. I felt one the other day but couldn’t see it in the mirror to pluck it. After finally getting it “by feel” I saw that it was bright white.
Depressing.

While the hair on my head is getting increasingly gray (my wife told me this weekend that I could no longer claim to have “brown hair with some gray in it, it’s the other way around now,” and my chest hair has been going gray for a while now, I have yet to find any gray one’s down south. With summer nude sunbathing season here, though, they will be getting blonder.
Dear God, do people actually contemplate this?
