I have a jar of fig preserves. What should I do with it?

My husband and I sometimes grab interesting-sounding items at Big Lots to try out, and this is our latest experimental acquisition. I checked allrecipes.com and they had a grand total of ONE recipe using fig preserves (everything else called for fresh or dried), so I wanted to know if you all had some suggestions for how we could use it, other than making fig bars.

Put it on toast? Cook chicken with it? I have no idea! Help!

Use them to baste a pork loin. Or…perhaps top a baked brie…

Sounds crazy, but spread with cream cheese “peanut butter and jelly” style on a good whole wheat bread, it might make a very good sandwich.

Just my two cents…

I vote for making an almond butter & fig jelly sandwich on the unconventional bread of your choice.

Make Newtons?

I hope you figure out what to do with it.

Simple recipe suggestion: pour over goat cheese. Serve with crackers.

Send it to me.

Eat it on toast, either plain or fruit - or might be nice with some crostini and some blue cheese?
Simple pear tarts - use some puff pastry cut into rectangles, score a 1cm rim around the outside, layer with sliced pear and brush with the fig conserves as a glaze. Bake and eat with icecream.
Lamb tagine, replacing the dried figs with the preserves, to add a little sweetness?
Heated in the microwave, drizzled over icecream, then scatter on some chopped pistachios.
Rice pudding with fig jam, and just make the rice pudding since you already have the jam prepared.
Grilled goats cheese with fig jam and basil - sounds interesting, would be worth a try to see if it works as a combination.
Baked brie - cut a large round of puff pastry, spread a circle of jam, place brie in centre and fold the pastry around, bake and serve with bread and green salad.
