I have a problem with email and game publishing; can anyone help?

I have been writing Unreal Tournament 2004 game levels recently, and I would like to share them with others (free.) The problem I’m having is in communicating with the various appropriate forums.

Recently, Unreal Tournament.com and Unreal Playground changed policies concerning account signups. They no longer accept hotmail, yahoo, or other web-based email addresses due to rampant spamming. I use only Hotmail, but I don’t do much by email anyway. I haven’t used my ISP email account because email is a gareway for viruses into a home system, and until I learned how to deal with viruses I avoided applications that had problems with infection like Outlook and IE. So, when I went to use the account that the company that rhymes with horizon supposedly set aside for me, I found out (after several tech support calls) that I can’t use the account. They say I should be able, that it’s my equipment, blah blah- the bottom line is that they can’t tell me why I can’t use the account, so I’m out of options there.

Is there a good email host out there, one that’s totally web-based? I wonder if I should look for another email host and hope I can use it to activate an account at Atari’s forums. Or should I be looking for another solution, like finding someone else to post them for me?

I ask your advice.

Is that going to solve your problems? It sounds like they won’t allow any web-based email addresses. If they only disallow certain web-based email providers, I’d just look at the list and find one that’s not on it.

Or you could use a redirection service like spamgourmet.com to give you a different email address but still forward mail to your hotmail account.
