I have created a monstrosity

This was supposed to be a cat. In pants.

Well, it’s hideous. I’m a great knitter too. I do outrageously complex aran sweaters, gloves, lace. I tried to make ONE stuffed animal and he’s all lumpy and scary.

Oh well, his name is Xavier. I’m getting a four year old nephew from Russia so I made Xavier for him. I don’t think he’ll mind.

Oops…I posted the wrong link. Xavier is here:

Sorry about that.

 It looks almost completely unlike a cat in pants. The kid’ll love it though.

That’s no cat, but I love it.

It’s nothing like a cat, but it’s actually not a bad stab at Piglet, of Winnie the Pooh fame.

Xavier looks like a kangaroo to me. He’s very cute.

I was hoping to see a real cat for which you’d knitted pants

But it does look like a cute little thing nonetheless.

I was thinking “A ham with ears in a jumpsuit” but that does describe Piglet well, so I defer to you!

I was going to say … a peanut. With ears. In a jumpsuit.

But that would be silly.

The kid won’t care though, he’ll make it whatever he thinks it is and love it anyway.

It looked a LOT like a peanut before I put the arms and legs on. I want to do a teddy bear next, but now I’m a bit afraid of how it would turn out.

As for knitting pants for an actual cat…I think I could do that. Getting the pants ON the cat would be trickier.

Oh, it’s adorable…whatever it is! LOL! Yeah, a little like Piglet, but it’s really cute! It’s called Xavier? perfect!
