I have lost my Netflix ratings stars on one computer only. On this one computer they can be found with a mouse-over using Firefox and they are gone entirely using IE.

On my other computer they are there as expected. No one one the Netflix forums is complaining.

Suggestions for diagnosis an remedy?

We have demonstrated that it is even more curious than stated in the OP.

I have lost the a few things such as the Netflix ratings stars on only one user on only one computer. For example user ‘‘Janes’’ cannot get some frames around some stuff on some sites and cannot get any Netflix ratings stars. This is the case with both FF and IE. User “Ms. Janes” and a new user “test” do not manifest these glitches.

This thread attracts no responses so I got to wondering:

  • Perhaps no one has a clue as to a remedy.
  • Perhaps no one understands the problem.
  • Perhaps “Netflix” in the title line is off-putting.
  • Perhaps it is posted at a time of day when it gets bumped off quickly.
  • What do you think?

My first guess would be a corrupted or (partially) deleted cookie file for that user on that puter.
Beyond that, I have no guess.

As user ‘janes’, try clearing your cache, cookies and history. You’ve probably got something sidewise in there that is confusing the site.
