I have seen the musical promised land and it’s name is ‘REASON’. http://www.propellerheads.se/products/reason/frame.html

I use a lot of different software for my music. ACID, FruityLoops, Logic Audio, Cakewalk, Jazz++, Vegas and more. But now that I’ve seen REASON in action, I think I’ve found a place where I can do about 80%+ of my work. That software is like owning $100,000 worth of hardware and that is no exageration. I can have samplers, filters, synths, drum machines, matrix units, compressors, limiters etc… all running. I can even patch it myself. Hit a key and the ‘rack’ spins around so you can patch it. This stuff is absolutely incredible.

I strongly urge you to check this stuff out for yourself.

I think that software synths is the way of the future. I don’t see how hardware synths are going to keep up with this.
