I hope i didn’t square you away. Anyway, I’m delighted to hear you are feeling better.
I realize that I wasn’t a participant in the hijack.
My appetite is also returning. One thing I don’t like being sick is that all I want to eat is starchy food, and that gets monotonous very quickly.
Quoting myself I guess, for reference. Now on day 24 and finally getting ahead of it. Slight TMI, but drainage has switched from backwards (down throat) to forwards (blowing my nose a lot) which is always the turning point in any cold/URI for me. Cough is almost gone and breathing easily now. Feeling much, much better after completing the second round of anti’s and doubling up on some vitamins (recommendation from doc). I can see the end of this finally.
Best of luck to all other sufferers of the it-aint’t-Covid-but-it-still-sucks disease-of-23,
I suspect what’s happening with me is that the respiratory virus triggers asthma which triggers anxiety and then there’s something in my environment dragging on the asthma coughing forever. We got a robot vacuum that seems to be picking up a lot of dust every day so hopefully it helps.
I thought I was feeling better, and I had a few days where I had a lot more energy (if not 100% back to normal) but the last two days I have been dragging again. Not as bad as last week but still not great. A little sore throat too (which I also had with the first malaise). I don’t know whether this is a second sickness or the return of the first one – kiddo who had fever seems to be doing fine, other kiddo never had fever or malaise but is congested. I think I’m beginning week 3 of this (day 17 or so? not sure of exact dates) and I am so tired of it! But I didn’t have cough or congestion so it could have been a lot worse.
My anxiety consisted mostly of ruminating on things that happened many years ago that I couldn’t do anything about back then, or now. That’s definitely no fun.
I still have some body aches and diminished appetite, but since I’m improving, albeit slowly, I see no need, at least as of now, to see my doctor.
