Jim’s cat is like that - biting and clawing and purring all the while. My cat is much more normal - she prefers her beatings in the tub. The signal for time for beatings in our house is a cat streaking through the house with her tail all skinked up.

We rarely pay a lot of money for cat toys. It’s just a waste of money, we find. Get them some honeysuckle, though; cats love that stuff.
