My wife and I own two beautiful Siamese Cats - Ok they own us, but don’t let my wife hear me say that - They are totally indoor cats. They mean too much to us for us to let them out in this Urban environment.
Recently - as in two days ago - this nasty-ass mange ridden gray cat has popped up in our up stairs balcony moaning to have at it with our female siamese. No frick-in way Garfield’s Retarded Cousin! Your not gett’in a piece of that ass!
If my wife was’t so in love with all animals I’d let our Dog Griss have a decent go at it. But I’m not allowed to do this, so Griss will have to stick to normal Dog food. No kitty treats today! However, all bets are off if Griss has to take a piss and this mongoloid feline is too slow getting over then fence!
Damn cats can be loud when they are horny! Jeez!!!
So how do others deal with horny cats wanting their own cats bits? Do you shoo them away or take other more drastic action?
My mom gave a contraceptive (one little pill a day) to our female cat, when it wasn’t yet neutered, and in heat for the first time.
I can’t remember if the pills just made her infertile, or that the hormones also inhibited our cat’s hormones, thus making her less attractive to tomcats.
We’ve been having problems with neighborhood cats shitting all over our yard, but worse yet, in my vegetable garden (we’re going to EAT that stuff!), every single day without fail, for weeks and weeks on end. We tried tarping the entire yard, thinking they wouldn’t shit where they couldn’t dig (we’re doing construction and landscaping, so it’s mostly dirt right now). HAH! They shit right on the tarp and laughed at us. We tried sprinkling cumin all around the perimiter of the yard, on the fence and in the garden, no luck. We completely covered the entire vegetable bed with pine needles and pine cones, but they just brushed them out of the way, dug their hole and did their business.
Finally, we installed one of these last Saturday, and so far, not a single pile of shit has been found anywhere in our yard. Now, it’s only been 4 days, but that’s 4 more days in a row than we’ve ever had without having to clean up that nasty crap, so it does seem to be working at keeping them out of our yard. Let’s hope it stays that way.
I’m actually rather conservative when it comes to editing threads. Coding I’ll fix without a second thought, but I’m hesitant to change words. One reason is that people are more likely to proofread if they know they have to live with their typos. Another reason is to maintain strict historical continuity, so posts joking about a typo aren’t confusing to future generations of SDMB scholars. Still another is the fact that I thought it was funny.
