I just bought gas for $2.09 a gallon!

Top that!

Yeah, well I was just pulling my jacket out of the storage closet for the up comming winter and found twenty dollars in the pocket. So nyaa! :stuck_out_tongue:

See, they have us right where they want us now, thinking $2+ a gallon is a GOOD deal.

1.95 yesterday just outside KC, Mo.

:stuck_out_tongue:

My mother is reporting $1.89 near Brownsville TX.

Still paying $2.49 here T_T

$1.29 a gallon. HA! The local grocery store has a promotion going with their gas stations…spend $50 on groceries, save 10 cents a gallon. I got up to 80 cents off a gallon before I broke down and had to spend it! I wanted to get up to $1 off…have to start buying groceries again.

$1.95 the other day, but back to $2.08 now south of Boaton.

It hasn’t broken $2 here, but the two cheapest stations in the whole area are near my house, and they’ve been holding steady at $2.19 for several days now.

I win! $2.89! What do I win? What do I get?

A free math lesson?

It ain’t gonna hold up, kiddos. We just (Friday) updated the AFE (what it’s gonna cost to drill and complete this well) for a well we’re committed to. The AFE from three months ago was $3MM and it is now $5MM.

Sheesh.

I’m about to head home and fill up on the way - about $4.86 per gallon I think

Lame.
Hrmph.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I “bought” 30 gallons (U.S.) without paying, today. (Local supermarket has opened a chain of gas stations and 50 worth of groceries knocks .10 off the pump price. The station is a bit out of my way, so I had accumulated a $2.20 discount over several months. When gas dropped to 2.03[sup]9[/sup] a gallon, I figured I had better redeem it. I put 30 gallons in the truck--the most they'll allow--and my most recent grocery purchase showed I had a .16 discount on record.)

The closest stations to my house were at $2.049 a gallon this morning. According to http://www.clevelandgasprices.com/ there are a number of stations in the area that are now at $1.989 a gallon.

I have to agree with the previous poster, however, that it’s sad that we’re thinking “this is cheap”…

I can remember within the last 10 yrs (since I’ve been in the Cleveland area) that I was paying $0.749 a gallon for gas… THAT was cheap.

Harumph! Still around $2.50 here in the DC Metro. I’ve noticed a significant difference in the speed of gas price changes between upward and downward.

It’s like if you hear on the news that oil prices are going to rise, those bastards are out there changing the numbers on the sign before the soundbite ends.

After the price of oil actually drops, the same louts are sitting on their ass, yawning, saying “Mayhap I’ll git around to changin’ them numbers…NEXT WEEK! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

Saw $2.09 this AM in Smurfreesboro.

$2.02 here in Mentor, OH this morning. I won’t be impressed until it’s back in the $1.50 range

$4.99 a gallon last night! Woohoo!
Oh, wait…
