I just canceled my Netflix. Here's why.

Hm, what shows did they drop? I haven’t seen that happen before.

It happens all the time - Netflix buys the rights to certain properties for x amount of time. Eventually that time runs out and they decide whether to renew or not.

Back in August, Hulu picked up the rights to the Epix (Lionsgate, Paramount, and and MGM) movies just a few hours after Netflix decided not to renew its deal.

I’ll follow up with a paper letter to the office of Reed Hastings, the CEO of Netflix. This was astoundingly annoying, and I’ve never seen this happen on any of the dozens of Roku apps I use on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, I heard Netflix has gone paperless.

It’s true. My Alvin and the Chipmunks 4: The Road Chip DVD came with a stamp stuck to it, and now my Emerson is all gummed up and making a weird noise.
