It’s all so surreal. She approached me first, which is something that has never happened before. I called her to wish her a Happy Thanksgiving (I left a voicemail), she called me back to tell me that my message made her smile. I called her last night not really planning to set anything up, but we ended up going out anyway, and both had a blast. When I dropped her off, she told me she wants to date again… I didn’t even have to ask.
She loves to laugh and talk. She’s very smart and educated (though she’d disagree with that statement :P). She’s made the entire experience extremely easy… I feel like I can be myself around her. Stuff like this doesn’t happen to a guy like me. Life certainly is funny, you know?
At work. It’s kinda funny… she works in my department, but we have about 30 people, so I never really noticed her. Then, last Monday, I was eating my lunch in the break room, and she plopped herself down next to me and said, “All my friends have left me to go back to work, so I’m going to come sit with you.”
