I just found this forum while googling why my Tylenol 3s aren't helping my toothache

It’s so oldschool

I find it so hard to find oldschool forums these days. Google doesn’t like to show them on the first page usually

I found this place 3 or 4 years ago when searching for the name Donald Lambright, the alienated son of Stepin Fetchit, who went on a freeway rampage. Of the other forums I go to none of them have archives that go back farther than 2004…so it stood out whereas several years earlier it likely wouldn’t have.

This board goes all the way back to 1999. The entire board is searchable here or via google.

Actually… it’s entirely searchable on Google. The board search engine only goes back 10 years and/or 500 results.

This is all well and good, but how is your toothache?

The board search engine can find old threads, but it’s tricky to set the filters right to do it. You can tell it to sort by oldest first, or by newest first, and either way get 500 results. Of course, if you’re searching on something that would have over a thousand hits, there are some in the middle that you can’t get to no matter what you do.

Not so. It goes back only 500 posts at a time, but there is no age limit–if the person has less than 500 posts going back to 1999, it lists back to 1999. And if the person has more than 500 posts, with advanced search you can choose a shorter date range (such as posts prior to 2008) or to list them in descending age to see older posts.

Well, we’re mostly old, so…

Opiates do nothing for me except bind me up. Maybe you’re like me.

Welcome aboard!

Is it 2:30 already?
mmm

Welcome! You could have an abscess. You should try holding hydrogen peroxide in your mouth for a minute or so and then rinsing with any mouthwash. Sometimes it will draw out the infection a bit and ease the pain.

This is the one thing I haven’t tried, so I’ll do that and hope it helps

If it does, please tell us.
