I just got granted rights permission to produce a play!

So…anyone want to become a patron of the arts and make a donation?

Now I just need to send in the application to for the Toronto Fringe Festival and get accepted.

The play is Bathory by Moynan King. It is a short, 4 woman show centralizing around some fact, mostly fiction, regarding the life of Elizabeth Bathory, the Blood Countess of Hungary.

I’m so excited about this…I just hope I can afford to do the show. I pay for everything but receive 100% of ticket sales. I hope to at least break even.

So any fundraising ideas and/or donations are welcome!

Congratulations!

And no, I’m not giving you money. :stuck_out_tongue:

I too have no money to give you, but Congrats anyway!! that’s really cool!

Very cool subject! Cecil discusses Bathory in gory detail in his column Did Dracula really exist?

[response to telemarketer]I’m afraid I’m unable to make a donation at this time[/response to telemarketer], but I would think the subject matter would lend itself to some creative and bizarre fundraising activity.

SpoilerVirgin, thank you so much for the link to Cecil’s column regarding Dracula and Bathory. Although I have read countless books, fiction and non, regarding The Blood Countess, I love reading more. Any idea on when that column was written?

Yes, I do hope this production goes over well, as I have thoughts for a one-woman show starring Ms. Bathory, that I might like to write and produce for next year’s Fringe Festival.

Suggestions on how/where to get sponsorships and fundraising ideas still welcome!
