And it totally ROCKS!
I ordered it about 6 weeks ago and I picked it up on Thursday morning.
I got the Coopers S, Chili red with a British flag on the roof. It is great to drive, has amazing pickup, corners like it is on rails and has a throaty roar even when it is just idling.
I knew that I would like the car, but I did not know that I would like it this much. Everytime I drive it I feel myself smiling.

I want one! I’m jealous! I just saw a Mini convertable today - very cool. But I have too much crap to cart around all the time. Maybe when I’m rich and can afford a second car.
Off to buy that Lotto ticket…

I’ve been thinking about getting a Mini myself. I’ve heard that it is roomie on the inside. I’m 6’4"- do you think that I would be cramped in it?

As the former owner of a real Mini, I’d say you’re doing somewhat better in the size department. And distincly so in the performance department…
That said, the only time I was in the back of a new one I was kinda squished.
But I bet it drives like a hummingbird on crack, it being a BMW and all that…
16 months after getting mine and I still

Dr. PoopiePants, I’m not sure how you would fit in the car although I have tons of leg and head room. I am only 5’8" though.
jjimm, both my wife and I have sat in the back of the car, though not while it was being driven. We fit ok. As I said above I am not that tall, but I have pretty broad shoulders and I was comfortable. We were out with a friend of mine last night and he was surprised how roomy it was. I am going grocery shopping today though, so we will see how everything fit in the trunk then.

I want one, and fit my 6’5" body in it just fine…it’s just that my wife’s 6’ and there’s every indication my 3.5 year old kids will dwarf their parents…and we already HAVE two other impractical cars. So it’s something I’ve just resigned myself to do without…
But you can betcher knickers I’ll go test drive the 8" extended one when it’s here!
