I went with the Cooper S. Almost all-standard, just added the bonnet stripes, auto-air and dynamic stability control (I live in Michigan).
Looked at the blue – too light, not as deep as 2004’s. Looked the purple. Too – um, “purple”. Went with the red. Chili red. White top, white stripes on the hood, white mirror caps. Yeah, baby; it’s a rolling invitation to stop me and write me a ticket.
Normally I hold vanity license plate in contempt - $25 for vanity? Please. But I was considering my too-clever location identifier, as it would appear on a plate - “nowhere”. I was admiring its koan-like inscrutability. And I realized you *could * parse it differently: “No W Here”.
Ooooh. For a guy with a Kerry/Edwards sign on his lawn, this is almost like divine intervention - God must want me to have this plate. . . except for the fact that the boat with my car on it doesn’t arrive until sometime in December. :smack:
Congratulations!!! Nice combo, did you get white wheels too? Hope the wait isn’t too agonizing for you! I remember it well, the trips to the owner’s lounge, the calls to Ask Mini. I knew I was in deep when I realized I knew my VIN by heart and the car hand not even started production yet!
Congratulations! You are going to have sooooo much fun! I have a Chili Red MINI with a black top, black mirror caps and a moonroof. It has made me the most popular middle-aged girl in town.
